LVPradaFanatic -- I think you'll have a good chance of getting pre-sale items. Seasonal colors will be on sale. I think Tea is being carried over to next season so it may not go on sale. Sometimes a style of bag will be discontinued, and then ALL colors of that bag will go on sale. That happened with the original Julie and the Cocker.

doloresmia -- I think it's cabats and knots that never go on sale....can't think of anything else though.

I was at the Scottsdale BV boutique and my SA said tea was being carried into fall and therefore would not be on sale.

what are KNOTS?:p sorry for not knowing

Don't apologize, no one knows everything! The "knot" is BV's signature box clutch with a closure in the shape of a knot:

and this is the Tea - colored bag in your wish list. Tea is being carried over into the new season so it's likely this will not go on sale in a few weeks; however, sometimes exceptions are made if the style of bag is not going to be carried in the new season.

Ladies and gentlemen, i spoke with our uber SA bryan this morning. he will be pulling together a sale list per usual. if you have bought from him in the past, he already has you on distribution. If you would like to be on distribution, please email him at [email protected]. tell him you are from tPF and doloresmia referred you so he knows the context.

now, i don't have further details on WHEN the US sales start, just that you can receive the list from bryan when it comes out.

bryan is based in hawaii, and they do ship internationally.

sales are generally 30% less retail

due to the economy, the rumor is this is going to be an EXTRAORDINARY sale. they said that a few months ago for the BH Hermes sale event and let me tell you, it was fab. i am revved up for this!

How much is shipping from Hawaii to the continental states generally?

Thanks Doloresmia! That's great! I have never ordered from Bryan before even though I am tempted from the great sales. As I am in Europe I' m concerned about duties. If it wasn't for that I would be ordering non stop:p!

yes, the whole customs issue can be a crap shoot - unless you have a friend or family coming to the states:graucho:

from what i remember, $15 flat fee. but that was last year, and UPS ground rates may have gone up.

As of about a month or so ago, it's $25, at least for my package. They don't use "ground" shipping--they used 2-day air. I suppose that is because they're way out there on an island. Shipping by surface (either by air and then ground when it reaches the mainland, or by sea then by ground, if UPS even does sea shipments) would probably take a very long time to reach the destination.

Last time I bought from Hawaii they shipped USPS - it might take a little longer (although I don't know that for sure - having never sent something both ways at the same time to test it) but to Canada at least it is way more economical in terms of processing fees, duties and taxes on this end. I can't remember if I asked specifically for USPS but that is definitely my strong preference whenever I have things shipped to me from outside Canada.

My SA of Atlantic City, Samantha, will take a wish list from her clients [including members here] so she can reserve these items for you before they are spoken for [ i.e. start transferring these items in to be on hold]. Please note : we [BV] are not publically pre selling yet.

She also said "I do not think Ash Scuro will be going on sale due to this color, Copper, Tea, Matita, and Vachette becoming icon colors for us. ". "I am predicting items that will be on sale are Crimson, Saffron, Burned Orange, and Cobalt. "
