i agree, they have tons of flexibility. once upon a time, long, long ago, in my early years on tPF, someone posted pre-sale dates on a thread, so i just "happened" into a store during the pre-sale and was invited to purchase whatever i wanted
given the economy is worse now than back then, i would assume pre-sale is not that exclusive..... and for any newbie BV tPFers who read this thread, not to worry, we all have favorite SAs like Bryan ([email protected]), we can hook you up with for any pre-sale reservations you want to make by phone.btw, i have not been able to get pre-sale starting next week confirmed. i was told it was closer to the end of may when the actual sale is starting. no big deal for me either way, i can wait.

yes doloresmia, i've heard some regular customers were able to purchase with discount on pre-sale time too. so i guess maybe it's all depend on SA.
do you know when Gucci will be on sale? cos usually BV and Gucci start at the same day. i've been checking a local forum here in hong kong, but it seems no one has mentioned the Gucci sale yet.

if past sales are any clue, i would assume the cobalt bags would go on sale and the burnt orange. the brown one probably not. i understand the exception to the seasonal color rule is cabats which never go on sale.
CX - sadly i don't know. i remember HK sales being after US ones last year, but that is all i know.
LVPradaFanatic -- I think you'll have a good chance of getting pre-sale items. Seasonal colors will be on sale. I think Tea is being carried over to next season so it may not go on sale. Sometimes a style of bag will be discontinued, and then ALL colors of that bag will go on sale. That happened with the original Julie and the Cocker.

In my opinion, these will all go on sale, with the exception of the Tea Tote bag. The next question is whether or not they are still in stock. You should go into BV and just ask about the sale. No harm done. I'm sure they would be happy to pre-sell it to you and if they can't yet, I'm sure they will tell you when they can.

oh yes, i forgot, knots don't go on sale.... also exotics rarely, but not impossible to find on sale.... which makes me think sadly of last season's ash envelope clutch that i was offered on sale and passed and then appeared on ebay for much less than retail and i muddled along and missed my chance....

BV in 5th ave NYC is an hr from me and i called today and they said NO SALE till end of month....btw, which is the tea tote bag? the description on the pics does not have that name...
