mavis78, the large capri is abit smaller than the medium size cabat. In terms of capacity, it should be able to put as many if not more things than your large veneta. It is going to be phased out that's why you see them on sale in the classic colours. As for weight, I thought it would be heavy too but I compared it with a sloane on the other hand and feels to me they dont weigh any different.

The seamless tote is alot smaller and only hand held I believe. I think that's about the same size as the small capri? It all depends what function you want the bag to serve. I bought the capri bag because I want to use it as a diaper bag as well.

I agree with spendalot. the capri is much lighter than i would have expected and would make a good diaper bag (along those lines). i was debating between the capri and the roma for a work bag and the roma is ALOT heavier. i ended up going with the roma though because i like the way it looks. both are great bags though and you get more color choices with the capri.

OMG! Haven't been on tPF lately and I saw this eye-catching thread! I had to spend the time to read it through and I guess my face impressions were like :thinkin::shocked:   :faint:.... my DH asked me what went wrong....

Thanks doloresmia, beck77 & doreenjoy for all these updated info! It's time to email Bryan again!

Hi bagdoll. Just saw your thots on cobalt and I'm definitely leaning more towards cobalt now. I do wear lots of cool colours too. Am restricted to jeans to casual fridays/weekends but I guess I could make it work :D...so is it just with white/grey/black and with prints that have blue in them?
I think cobalt would look fab with red, orange, yellow, green. Wow, now that I think about it, I would almost use it as a neutral. Wouldn't it be gorgeous with the Azure color too? Okay, I'm getting something in cobalt!:yahoo:

ETA: We need to get an assistant for Bryan! Any volunteers? LOL!

BAGDOLL: Thanks super for making cobalt sound & seem so easy! I will seriously look into it.

SNGSK: The signature butter texture did cross my mind on the rame. Is it because of the metallic finish that takes away a bit of that butter soft feel?

DOLORESMIA: Your feedback & pictures are a big help with my dilemma!

Hi nadianostalgia, This is just my opinion. I fell in love with Cobalt when I saw it online but the real one in the shop doesn't look as striking as what I saw on the web. Have you checked out the shop?

Exactly my dilemna with the cobalt--the bright blue & what to match with. I have never seen the rame in actual so I'm unsure how copper-y it is. I am undecided between a cobalt & a rame...?!?!

couldn't agree more ;)

The cobalt can coordinate with what im wearing or just act as pop of color to a plain outfit.. i dont think you have to be matchy matchy all the time.. it is a fun and happy color... like a bright blue sky.. it lifts your spirits just to use it and look at it. I use to shy away from bright colors but not anymore.. I dont mind my bv bags getting all the attention.:D

I'd go with the montaigne it's such a classic and more versatile IMHO. If they had one in red I'd have been seriously tempted.

I've reserved a cobalt campana but now am not sure whether it's an easy colour to wear. Anyone with a cobalt item care to weigh in please?

i think cobalt will go with a lot more colors than you think. the only thing i personally would not wear it with is dark green and purple, but since i don't wear those colors, it isn't an issue for me. cobalt is gorgeous and pulls the eye IRL

sngsk,
thanks for your views...i dont usually carry alot of things when i go out, so 1 sloane should suffice for me. sometimes i cant even fill out my medium veneta. so now am looking for slightly smaller bags. roma and large capri would be too big for me but i still think they r gorgeous!!!

so roma comes with a buckle while capri is open-top?

ladies,
what would u recommend as a everyday bag that is not too big? something that can be shouldered, able to withstand daily use and easy to find things within?

Umm, you are describing the following bags - medium veneta, campana and ball! all classics, all great for every day, and all shoulder bags

I think cobalt can be dressed up and down. Yesterday I wore my medium cobalt veneta with dark wash jeans, white Gap tank and light grey sweater. I wear alot of cool colors like grey, black, navy and white. I wouldnt hesitate to use cobalt veneta with print dress for dressy occassions though.

bagdoll, we need to see action shots!;)

Hope u all can help me.....I need to hear opinions abt the large capri...is it heavy with all the gold hardware? And what is the capacity like? I am so confused! I am choosing between that and the seamless tote! Whoever can enlighten me.. pls share what you know about the capri.....is it an iconic style or it is going to be phased out like the new ball?
thank you!

mavis, i don't have either the roma or the capri, but i think the roma is going to be heavier due to the multiple compartments. the capri is being phased out, but tote styles are iconic, if you know what i mean. i don't believe a capri is going to be heavier, and in general bv bags are lighter than bags of similar size. more than that, i don't know:p

Here are some pics of the SLG that will be on sale.
They are 50% off! :yahoo::yahoo:

Thanks beck77, I have just emailed Bryan.... USD50 for shipping....hmmm... I should buy more to justify it :p I should ban myself .....

i think justluvspink (sp?) and some of the other singapore ladies are coordinating a group shipping to save on freight, you might scroll back a few pages to find out who is in, and then PM them.
