Thanks bagdoll. What colour tops would cobalt go with? I've never owned such a bright blue bag so am not so sure how I'd wear it. The colour is gorgeous though and so irresistable...Rame is copper. If I'm not wrong jadore chanel has a few action pics of it in the BV in action thread.

jadelim.lam since you already have a bag in noce, I'd go with the capri. How about the maxi capri if you are worried about containing your things? My only concern with the maxi capri would be security in which case you might want to consider the roma- looks like the capri with more space and slightly more security. Just my 2cents worth. :p

Hope u all can help me.....I need to hear opinions abt the large capri...is it heavy with all the gold hardware? And what is the capacity like? I am so confused! I am choosing between that and the seamless tote! Whoever can enlighten me.. pls share what you know about the capri.....is it an iconic style or it is going to be phased out like the new ball?
thank you!

mavis78, the large capri is abit smaller than the medium size cabat. In terms of capacity, it should be able to put as many if not more things than your large veneta. It is going to be phased out that's why you see them on sale in the classic colours. As for weight, I thought it would be heavy too but I compared it with a sloane on the other hand and feels to me they dont weigh any different.

The seamless tote is alot smaller and only hand held I believe. I think that's about the same size as the small capri? It all depends what function you want the bag to serve. I bought the capri bag because I want to use it as a diaper bag as well.

Exactly my dilemna with the cobalt--the bright blue & what to match with. I have never seen the rame in actual so I'm unsure how copper-y it is. I am undecided between a cobalt & a rame...?!?!

I like big bags.....and i have been loooking at ebano bags for the longest time! Capri sounds like a nice addition to my current selection as i have alot single-strap shoulder bags!
Thank you! :yahoo:

I think cobalt can be dressed up and down. Yesterday I wore my medium cobalt veneta with dark wash jeans, white Gap tank and light grey sweater. I wear alot of cool colors like grey, black, navy and white. I wouldnt hesitate to use cobalt veneta with print dress for dressy occassions though.

nadianostalgia rame is a beautiful metallic. More versatile than cobalt in my opinion. If you do not have any brown bags you may want to go with copper. I am very tempted with copper myself but I already have 2 brown bags (moro and a lighter brown/beige (limo?) and want a pop of colour. At the same time I'm not sure what cobalt will go with, other than jeans and a basic colour top... so I'm currently tossing between a cobalt or noce campana (but i'm thinking another brown???)

Only thing with copper as advised by another tpf member is that the grosgrain pattern takes away the signature feel of BV leather just a little. Others have apparently found it abit stiffer than the standard veneta too. Maybe you could go to the boutique to give both a try. HTH!

Hi bagdoll. Just saw your thots on cobalt and I'm definitely leaning more towards cobalt now. I do wear lots of cool colours too. Am restricted to jeans to casual fridays/weekends but I guess I could make it work :D...so is it just with white/grey/black and with prints that have blue in them?

You made cobalt sounds so great and wearable! ;)

sngsk,
thanks for your views...i dont usually carry alot of things when i go out, so 1 sloane should suffice for me. sometimes i cant even fill out my medium veneta. so now am looking for slightly smaller bags. roma and large capri would be too big for me but i still think they r gorgeous!!!

so roma comes with a buckle while capri is open-top?

ladies,
what would u recommend as a everyday bag that is not too big? something that can be shouldered, able to withstand daily use and easy to find things within?
