This cheapo and faded Vert Fonce City will have to satisfy my VF-tooth until a better specimen comes along. The leather is great, but there’s much fading, which mainly means the deep green effect has given way to a bit of gray (not brown, as I would have expected). Still lovely, though. Mirror shot shows faded green.

Continuing on that theme, got the 2nd half of RDC mail today. Never ever thought I would see a pristine 03 mastic (in any style) much less a First along with a beautiful 02 FBF in black. The leather on the black is like a marshmallow while I can't wait to further break in the mastic! While the bag is not technically new, this pristine condition is the closest I'll probably get to being able to do so since all of these Bals have been "new to me".

Wowzers, still blown away by these rare beauties and the conditions they are in. Thank you to the former owner. :love: :love:

The FBF close up pic is insane. You nailed it with this one. I gasped when I was scrolling down. Truly bag porn material. ❤️

I have a VERY distressed 01 FBF that I think has crazy good leather but when I see other FBF and how that leather is singularly unique to the next, it makes me really appreciate these rare bags. I think I need to find me another one... for next year. :graucho:

Thank you, so happy that the photo made you happy! This leather is really lovely. It's not the thickest, but there is a plump "springy-ness" to it that is so lovely. When I said "marshmallow", I truly mean it. :girlsigh:

I think you need to find yourself another one for next year for sure! ;)

This is one peculiar color, lol. No two pics I've found look alike. A bit like Vert Thyme, but totally different at the same time.
Mine deffo has some fading going on, but somehow it suits the color and makes it look even cooler, imho. Leather is so soft, though :drool:

I think Dolma is one of the most under rated Bal colors.

Worth the wait and how beautiful it is after some lovin'! Great job and find! This green is so amazing.

I hope to add a (non fake) Dolma one day too.

I’ve been eyeing this style for a while. What finally made me take the plunge is that the leather, in photos, looked divine. And the style is pretty cool and unique. Very versatile.

I’ll wear it in full extended style to carry laptop to work, and folded over the rest of the time. It has a smaller zip pocket outside, a big spacious magneto one on the flip side, and a regular zip pocket inside.

And the leather did not disappoint. No cards so I don’t know what leather this is, but it’s simultaneously thick and silky soft. I’ll be petting it all day. Doesn’t feel like any of my other Bal bags. I need MOAR!

Style number is 203240. Don’t know the name.
