This was a ~2am couple-glasses-of-wine impulse buy of what I thought was (and was listed as) a black croc-embossed work, which I jumped on bc I had only ever seen in a city & I love works. And uh... this is actual crocodile. :amazed:

Yeah it was a steal - it was a good price even for an embossed bag! It's an R tag, and in pretty solid shape for 10+yrs old. They had it pictured with one of the newer grey dustbags so I think that (and the sauv blanc) also contributed to me thinking it was newer/emboss.

I am ok with croc (not always a popular opinion, I know). I have couple other croc bags but they're more subtle/casual, if that makes sense? 1 is a Laurent Effel [matte] and 2 are Proenza Schouler [sueded].

I also have a black embossed Celine phantom luggage that is on semi-permanent loan to one of my sisters in California, so in my head this bag was my pseudo-"replacement" for that. Not that it's super shiny or anything, but it's a bit glossier so it's definitely more obvious (to me, at least). It's really pretty, but it's also a *lot* of croc, so I'm part excited part intimidated.

I’m one of those who won’t do exotics but I have to say it’s a gorgeous bag!
