Just checked mine as well and the pocket is sewn on the side with the upside down LV logos. Sorry if you mentioned it already, but since the seller sold it to you brand new, did they also have proof of purchase from LV?

Haha I know for certain that it is always on the inside back panel, which is why this one really stuck out as a glaring omission (whether real or fake).
Actually I will be perfectly ok with it if it’s authentic. In fact it would be a pretty cool difference! Having the plaque in front has an added bonus (since I won’t likely be using a bag organizer and lose the slouch) in that the front of the bag is propped up from becoming a full puddle and that makes it more aesthetically pleasing without an internal support in place.
Yup he passed me the original purchase receipt from one of the local LV boutiques and it is indeed for a P9 Speedy 25 in red. Absolutely no red flags as the receipt is identical to all the other purchase receipts I have from LV locally. His SA seems to be one of the SAs with a social account on Red Book even.
Oh gosh, this is like a purse thriller. I am really curious to read how it will resolve… 🤯 Fingers crossed that it is real and just an anomaly.
The plaques on both of my P9s are attached to the back side (upside down LVs.). I hope you can put your mind at ease very soon!I can confirm that P9 exteriors are two pieces of leather sewn together at the base of the bag

Why did he let the bag go for less than retail when they’re (I thought) so sought after? Maybe he did realise the pocket was wrong and thought it was bad feng shui or something. 😂
He had put it up for sale for a number of months with no traction (although always priced a little below retail) - I had favourited the item and the platform alerted me of a few price reductions over the last few months and it finally fell below my psychological barrier. I reached out to him to check availability and he initially told me that there was an offer higher than my ask but after a few days he came back to me and said he was ok to sell the bag to me instead as I could transact before CNY (he decided to go on a last minute CNY trip to Japan and Korea).
I really somehow feel the allocation of P9s to the Singapore has been quite high and they have not been fully sold - during the event I was invited to attend in December our current SA asked if I were keen on any of the SS season color P9s and he said they were all orderable if I were keen (and I’m very far from VIC now)…
I had a similar experience with a CA I met for the Murakami collection. I was just a walk-in customer. I asked about the p9s and he basically told me I could place an order for any size/ color and he will see what he can do about it. Basically it's order able. Truth is at birkin prices, VERY few ppl want to invest in the p9 because at the end of the day it just looks like a colored monogram speedy. Yes, the quality is very good, so soft, so lux, but how do you define good? Hermes has been making birkins for a very long time they have a very strict process. The p9s just sort of came out of nowhere and priced as such....
So the Entrupy authenticator had to bring forward the appointment to tonight and I have a second authentic evaluation of the strangest luxury purchase I’ve ever made - the bag is now deemed authentic by both Entrupy and Legitgrails.
What’s the next step for me? I guess I will enjoy the bag as is for now and when I next head into LV to see our SA I will make sure to bring the bag in just to let him have a look at it. Been carrying it for the past two days for Chinese New Year visitations and it truly is a very apt bag for the occasion. Haha.

There is a t-shirt being sold on Etsy that says “Even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes “. If LV tells you the bag is authentic then the shirt is a must have. Lol
