Oh myyy that leather is yummy! I was eyeing a red one too last week from carousell (local platform), below retail as well but not as great as this awesome deal you got at 40% off! Congrats, it looks perfect 😍😍😍
It’s the same listing I’m sure… the twist in the tale is that while absolutely everything comes across as feeling legit, coupled with the fact that I met the seller in his home and I have his contact number and that he’s been on Carousell for a number of years with 200+ reviews (which includes sales of Pateks and Rolex), there’s an extremely weird anomaly with the bag itself in that the plaque and inside pocket is on the wrong side of the bag. But the bag still feels authentic in spite of this - everything else about it has no indication or hint that it’s fake or a rep and the leather hand feel, hardware, silk screening, embossing is exactly like all the P9s we got to see in December in person. I ran the bag through Legitgrails and it came back as authentic, but I’m also getting it authenticated through Entrupy on Friday as well. I’m still in contact with the seller also and he seemed genuinely surprised by this. I’m waiting till the Entrupy authentication is done before deciding on next steps…
LV used one piece of leather to make P9 so the pocket always attached on the reverse side (the upside down logo side). As far as all the pics I’ve seen. Maybe you take in to a LV store let them read the chip so it can be verified…

Do you mean the internal lamb skin lining or the external calfskin leather? While the P9 speedy has the upside down logo side like a normal speedy the external leather is actually two pieces and you can see the seam at the base of the bag.
My understanding is that LV will not confirm the authenticity of items. Unfortunately I do not have that close a relationship with our current SA that I can ask him to do me a favour and scan the chip, but I may still try the next time I’m in the store (maybe if the Murakami items exit Order Validation purgatory and finally gets delivered to the store for pickup).
I’ve done a very deep dive into the P9 content available from content creators on socmed platforms (there really isn’t that many out there) and the pocket is always in the back of the bag. This is the only occurrence I’ve seen where it’s not the case, which is perplexing because honestly even the cheapest fake P9 seems to get this right, and if this is truly a fake it’s one of the highest quality ones I have ever seen, and it shouldn’t have such a “glaring mistake” if you know what I mean…

I’m referring to the external LV logo side. Other members like to chime in? I know member @wildwest81 owns several maybe she can help?!
I think any SA should be able to help you if you like to do anything with your bag. For example order spare parts like shoulder strap, luggage tag etc. I really hope you will get to find out soon. I know the feeling of spending so much money and just want to be sure… let us know what you find out

If it is indeed authentic what a wild mistake for LV to make. It would be one of a kind I’m betting. If it isn’t authentic then that’s shocking to miss something so simple.
I have 2 right now and neither have the pocket on the wrong side. I bought both directly from LV so know they are authentic.
If I can help with anything please ask and I can describe what I can on the dove line and horse line. I do not own any of the lion line P9’s.

Yes my pockets are on the upside down side of the leather. I’ve never seen a pocket put on backwards on any bags.
If I can help, I’m always willing and hopefully Despair will be able to enjoy her bag ❤️
I'm sorry there's a "but" with this awesome deal. Would you be OK with it being different even if it comes out authentic from Entrupy? If not, maybe you can consider bringing it in for repair and have them correct the pocket side orientation. You'd have a definitive answer that way. Whichever way it goes, either return it to the seller sooner than later (if not auth), or can get it fixed if it's something that may bother you down the road.
