Thanks so much for sharing!Hello everyone. I made it to the JD trunk show today at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. I met with both Latifa and Timothy. Latifa is from Paris and Timothy is their NY rep. Both were extremely knowledgeable and shared all kinds of great information with me on the leathers and manufacturing. One very impressive fact is that Ramesh (or his person) goes through up to ~80 hides only to select 2 or 3 that must be perfect in order to meet his standards. Also, that one person makes each bag. And while the Diane does have some machine stitching, it is done by the person who does the hand stitching. We also talked about special orders to get just what one wants which they seemed very much happy to do. Overall, this brand continues to impress me. While there were a couple of new bags (big Diane, tiny Diane), I had seen most of the bags already in Paris. Even so, seeing them again in a private setting, and trying them on, was really nice. I am attaching a few pictures (taken with permission) for you all to see.

Thanks for the photos/report! And it's good to know that Ramesh's standards in selecting hides is unchanged, regardless of whether the bankroller is Arnault or some other deep-pocketed Monsieur.Ramesh (or his person) goes through up to ~80 hides only to select 2 or 3 that must be perfect in order to meet his standards.
One other note I forgot they discussed with me, they don't have VVIP or VIP or any other special IP standards for certain clients. They treat all their customers like equal VIP's period. And they don't pretend they don't have bags when they actually have them to build a fake supply and demand market. They value each and every one of us regardless of the amount we spend as a customer and are happy to sell any available inventory. In other words, no games with them. Love this!! (Sorry, I didn't take notes and was having so much fun with them, I forgot half of the conversation.)

Thank you for sharing! I went to the JD trunk show too. I work nearby so I thought I'd check it out. It was such a lovely experience. I am embarrassed to say I did not take photos. They're so pretty in person. I already planned a trip to go to France later this year and it looks like I'm adding a visit to the JD boutique in Paris on my itinerary to get a bag.
