Joseph Duclos Thread

Right now, The Age of Enlightenment is having a moment. The loosely based historical ‘Hollywood-like’ movies, Chevalier, is coming to theaters, and Jeanne (Bécu) du Barry, debuted this weekend at the Cannes Film festival. The trailers made me think about (the man) Joseph Duclos’ ties to Louis XV. Interesting times — I like history.
Read more about the leather manufacturer’s history on the Joseph Duclos website.
And yes, to TPF’ers rolling your eyes, I recognize that the bag company has a tenuous relationship to the original Louis XV era company.;)

Trunkdevil,
I’m a few months away from purchasing a black Diane26. How is your black Diane holding up? Any flap creases? Any curvature of the leather on bottom corners? In seeing your beautiful blue Diane photos, I know you’d buy it all over again. I’d appreciate any words of wisdom.
Thank you!:flowers:

I finally took the plastic off the pat strap ends and placed it with my new Diane L26.
I’m tall and the strap is not my typical crossbody length. I do however like the thicker strap for day use.
Tbe L26 is an interesting size, small enough for evening but not too small for day use.
My ideal H is the B30 or K28, so this being smaller means being more discerning with the contents.
I wonder if I could use a L20, or if it’s too small? L20 owners is this your evening choice?

Well here are some pictures!
