Also, these bracelets are just beautiful… what a great complement to the bags with that crafted metal hardware I think I’ll add that to my list as well !

Yes I agree. I also find it interesting that Ramesh has gone a bit wider, women's category-wise, with JD as opposed to Moynat's initial collections. Back then there were a few men's bags, SLGs, and silk scarves, but never any fragrance or jewelry.

And this feels definitively more "exclusive."

@Christofle has a custom order but I think it's a Passementerie strap with exotic parts
No order yet it was just an inquiry. (Waiting to see what other colours they might offer soon as a base layer to the passementerie).

But yea I did communicate with their special order department and they couldn’t have been more pleasant or faster to respond.

They give you a price estimate fairly quickly for custom work as well (about 7 days).

Yes, they are very responsive to inquiries and the quotes for custom/SO are good for two weeks, but can be extended with a new quote based on EU/USD market fluctuations (or maybe house price increases, who knows).

I’m sorry to bother you all, but I’m a excited.
A couple of years ago, I made a bag insert for my H GP30. I didn’t like how my Fourbi 25 fit against the curved sides, so I made a pattern and lugged out my sewing machine.
Speed forward to tonight. I decided to try it in my Fontélie. I’m thrilled that it fits beautifully! I made it firm enough to stand up, but not too firm that it creases the leather.:yahoo:

I received my Fontélie two days early. I’ll write more later. Right now, I’m getting acquainted.

what I appreciate about the Fontélie is the strap which is connected to the back, rather than besides the handle. it relieves the stress from the usual 3 points on the flap: 2 beside the handle, and one on the fastening of the flap to the bag (this is why SAs at H advise customers to use at least one sangle when closing their Kellys, to distribute the weight). by attaching it on the back, there are only two points, which are the back of the bag.

clever

I agree about the strap placement. I don’t foresee the flap torquing and stretching because of strap strain.
I appreciate the envelope-like panel stitching on the bag’s front. I think it’ll help the bag maintain its structure when the leather begins to soften. I don’t anticipate the bag will get the little pooch/puddling found in older Moynat Gabys and (clemence) H Bolides.
