I'm telling you, the lizard is sooo sooooo beautiful ❤️❤️I am quickly falling in love with the Lizard. I guess it is all about finding that perfect color and HW specs I want, and I am sold.
Is the orange one in brique color tempo leather?
May I also know what is the shortest drop of the strap? I know that this is a messenger bag but im hoping I can wear it over the shoulder. I have too many crossbody bags already.

This is why I asked as I felt it was all very reasonable so was wondering why some are disproportionally higher than others. But I do agree, worth every penny. Heading to LV this morning to "hold me over" on some small travel bags for passport etc. This time next year will be carrying a JD bag for sure!My duties were much more than that, though my bag cost a bit more than 2,500€+ .
Duties and tax were ~$800USD for a ~$3600USD bag.

Okay, I’m going to be honest here. For those of us saving to buy our dream bags (aka the Diane 26 in heritage leather
), I’m sadden to see the incremental price increases/exchange rate changes over the past several weeks. I liken obtaining a Diane bag (right now, $8K+ incl. taxes and duties) to hitting a moving target. The more I save, the more I have to save.I live vicariously through TPF’ers who can order the priciest of bags, at will.
I’m truly happy for you. I 
seeing your bags — admiring them, knowing I’ll probably never have one. I also understand capitalism, demand, inflation, free market, and the exchange, so please, no lessons. I’m a wee frustrated, and disheartened about the Diane, but extremely excited about my Fontélie.

I would take a long weekend in Paris. Probably about same total amount but you get a bag plus mini break.

I’d love to go to Paris. I haven’t visited the city in years. My DH says I should go for a few days, but my responsible self says I need to stick around for a while. I’m helping our daughter adjust to her (temp?) career city, and my parents are having major health issues. My time will come.
Agree, but one of the issues is only buy it if you are absolutely sure you adore it bc these lesser brands don’t generally hold the same resale value
