I always try to find something I can't buy back home when I travel. My most recent trip was to Arizona where I found these gorgeous opal beads and peacock pendant, made by local artisans.

Trying to condense as I can only put one pic per post :(

Here are my 18kt gold star (second Florence trip), 18kt gold and semiprecious gem heart (1st Florence) and the rose gold over sterling with enamel pendant (2nd Florence).

Jewelry is so easy to bring home and using it after effortless. Family laughed after HI that it is all I bought, but it gets more use than my friend's t-shirt

Cameo on left was from first Italy trip when stopped at Pompeii. One on right is not travel related but they share a drawer. It is from the late 1920s or early 30s

All your jewelrys are amazing.and These two are attractive and catch my eye, I want to have a trip of Pompeii when I watched the Movie "Pompeii", I will try to find jewelry like these for my memorable trip too:p

I collect Italian charms with the flags of all of the places I've been. The only downside is that I have tiny wrists and need to start bracelet number 2 already!

The cameo store is across the street from Pompeii, if you are with a tour group you can't avoid going in even if you want to :D. Some in my group were upset we were "subjected" to this store, but the area is known for cameos and I went knowing I wanted to buy one there since I like cameos.

Sorry I can't see clearly on the picture. Is the Ring Plumeria shape? I know the Plumeria is famous Festival symbol of Hawaii:flowers:

It isn't plumeria. It is a coral rose with pearl "buds" and gold "stems". I need to get it sized. It fit in store, but once home it was really big. Apparently I swelled enough in the heat my size 5.5 finger fit a size 7 ring. Yikes.

I've bought commemorative jewelry in the past, like gold jewelry from Greece before I realized I really didn't like gold and a jade bracelet from China. When I went to Italy this past summer, I bought 2 purses as commemorative think with the purses I was just so shocked to find non-leather Italian bags that I just went for it, it wasn't even a brand I'm familiar with (Etro) but I love them.

This is the one that I was talking about.

yeah, when i saw it i feel that is what you talk about.
