I’m sure she surrounded herself with yes people as she was recording, telling her the album is great.
I certainly wouldn’t want to be the one to tell her it is garbage after she spent that much money and invested that much of her ego into a vanity project

I read somewhere she spent $20 million out of her own pocket! 😳
She made a very successful career with her looks and ability to dance. She was never a particularly good singer. At some point people get bored with the same act over and over. She’s still looking good but that’s not enough to carry a concert in a large venue at today’s crazy ticket prices. There’s just too much competition for those entertainment $$ and consumers have a lot of choices.
I keep hearing she's an absolutely horrible person too. Awful tipper, nasty person to SAs, etc. At some point, the shell of protection will wear thin, as many celebrities are starting to realize.

Being surrounded by yes-people who only tell you what you want to hear will only get you so far.
You need people to sometimes tell you things you initially don't want to hear but in the end help you to evolve/change things up/try new things/make things better.
JLo clearly hasn't had that in her life and now everything she does has become stagnant, boring and predictable.
It takes some balls to make a self produced esoteric movie about oneself. So bizarre.
