Jennifer had a bunch of club bops in the 2000. It is a definitely a different lane but at one point, one could not go out to the clubs without dancing to Lopez music.
Her videos were a whole vibe as well. She was urban/pop/New York. And she has a very distinctive style of dressing.
Then she transitioned to movies and got lucky with Selena. She lived that role.
Then she went on to do fun romcoms. Yes, she definitely relies on her looks but to her credit, she chose well for the most part.
She lost her damned mind when she went back with Beantown Ben. That man is her bad luck charm.

I watched the documentary over the weekend, and have a lot of thoughts on how hard JLo works to convince people that the image she desires we have of her is real. I'll slam her for a lot of things in it, but I think here, Megyn Kelly is exaggerating. I was paying attention to the letter box because a friend mentioned it which is one of the reasons I wanted to watch. It got a lot less of a mention than the attention it's getting. She said it was all the letters he'd written her over 20 years -- but there was NOTHING to imply that they'd come consistently over 20 years. My impression watching it was that he sent her letters when they were first together, they stopped when the engagement was ended, and started again around the time she split from ARod. She did not talk about getting letters consistently over 20 years, and nothing in watching it made me think he was feverishly writing her while married to Garner. I 100% believe he cheated on Garner. But I didn't see anything in the mention of the letters that said he was pursuing JLo the whole time he was married. I'm sure JLo would like to believe he's been pining for her for 20 years. But I think Megyn is looking for something to be outraged about.

Well, I'm not going to bash you. Singers nowadays dress less and less. Yeah, I wish some young girl would come along and be a little different. But those who are less sexual, aren't as popular. This is the culture we live in now. :doh:

Wasn't it Selena first and then the urban attitude videos with the dance type tunes?

Before Selena, wasn't she a short dark haired, not as gorgeous as she is now, back-up dancer?

Taylor exudes no sex appeal at all. Those sexy outfits do not make her sexy---she could walk out nude and the appeal is just not there. JLo on the other hand is indeed sexy---it oozes from her. She on the other hand could wear a burlap sack and be sexy! LOL

She is not Liz Taylor beautiful but she is pretty and has a great makeup/hair team.
Now on her Fifties, she is very well preserved.
Of course, she always had a dancer body, booty and all.
I am in her age group and she has always been my inspiration to get myself back at the gym.
And unlike many, she did not have crazy PS. She looks like the best version of herself.
There is something to be said about her confidence.
As far as hair, she wears very good extensions/falls.

She does look like a brainy dork in a good way.
She is tall, blond and skinny. Very easy to dress.
But I think this is part of her appeal, she is nonthreatening.

Taylor isn't sexy - that's part of her girl-next-door, open mouthed, aww shucks I won again appeal. She's safe.

JLo has as messy a love life as Taylor, but she does everything she can to appear sexy and does a very good job of it. Let's see how well she can carry that into her later years.

Maybe she'll be a Monica Bellucci, Rachel Weisz quiet type of sexy. Or a Sofia Vergara type - shoving it in our faces.

It's so crazy how the media has grabbed onto them and is just squeezing.

I can't say that I'm surprised but TMZ even has a documentary about what went wrong in their marriage. They haven't even filed for divorce yet and TMZ is breaking down how it went wrong. Absurd. :eek:
