So funny, I was thinking the same thing.
Though, they do jump into things with no preparation or careful thought (like a marriage) so I suppose they could do the same with a house. lol
I think it's a mistake to think they consider long term impact on t hings like marriage and major purchases. It's all about what brings attention to JLo NOW. Buying a huge house got her attention - great! Selling it will get her attention - great! Normal people consider logevity with things like marriage and home purchases. But JLo is like an insecure girl at a sorority date party - willing to do whatever keeps the focus on her and not on the other girls.
I was gonna say her reasons for the marriage were probably quite a bit about the big ring and the wedding

I have said this a million times but I think her reasons were that he dumped her and he was the love of her life so to marry him said she was valuable after all, in her mind. I think she married Anthony because she wanted to prove someone wanted her. She married him not long after they broke up, as I recall. I get wanting to have a second chance at the love of her life but I remember when they got married she said something like 'I had to do it quickly before he changed his mind'. As if he couldn't do that AFTER they got married.

We also have a mansion tax in New York, for house over 1 million. It had zero effect on market in desirable areas.
