These two do not look anything alike. Especially one being brunette. Yes they were both thin and about the same height, but that's about it.

Not mine either - it was that darn laugh track that followed every sentence uttered.
I hate laugh tracks
We watch old episodes of Seinfeld and the laugh track bothers me
Seinfeld filmed in front of a live audience and only used a minimal laugh track. Friends, on the other hand, had more canned laughter than actors saying words. It was too much and very annoying.
Here's the first video that came up on Google - Friends with no laugh track. An improvement! I never realized the actors were good, not just cartoon characters.
To keep this on Aniston - she appears around 1.35 minutes in.
With excessively padded laugh track. Too much. Not every little head nod or sideways glance needs canned laughter.
I was thinking about this, and maybe it's along the lines of just not being familiar enough with either actress to match the name with the person.
For example, for the life of me I can't always identify Al Pacino vs. Robert DeNiro or Bill Paxton vs.Bill Pullman.
Anyway, I have probably put way too much thought into this!

My favorite all time old sit-com which I can watch over and over again is the Golden Girls. Not only is the acting great, but the script is incredible and I feel warm and comforted every time it comes on.
