Jeff's mom was 17 when she had Jeff, his biological father was 19. They divorced a year after Jeff was born. According to the LA Times, Bezos' stepfather, Miguel "Mike" Bezos, a Cuban immigrant (Miguel adopted 4 yr old Jeff) and his mom, loaned Jeff about $245,000 in 1995 to help him start Ama zon when the internet was in its infancy. They were not wealthy by any means back then and it was a super high risk. In 2018 their stake was worth over 30 billion. Both Jeff's mom and his stepdad were at the wedding. They seem nice and I am happy for them. Talk about the American Dream. I love stories like this. Certainly Jeff and Mackenzie worked their a$$es off and she was able to walk away with a good chunk in the divorce, good for her. It's noteworthy that self made successful people don't whine, bish, feel sorry for themselves and demand pity, while others who are given tons and tons (lookin' at MM and Harold) only complain.
Surprising, right? Maybe they gave Vogue the exclusive for the wedding gown and People an exclusive for the reception dress. Or maybe they've just decided to keep it private.
The gown is fine. But it looks more elegant on Sophia Loren for a number of reasons including the boobs.

This. DH and I attended a wedding earlier this summer in a Catholic church in which both bride and groom were divorced and both had been previously married in a Catholic church. Did they both get annulments? No idea. The church has loosened some of the old rules.
Years ago there was a bit of a scandal because Joseph Kennedy had somehow convinced the Boston archdiocese to permit one of his divorced children to remarry in the Catholic church without obtaining an annulment. There was even speculation that he had bribed the pope.
Who knows the true story, but money can do a lot.Who knows what type of ceremony the Bezos had. They may have just rented the church for the day and had Bill Gates officiating.

Must be exhausting being in these tight Kardashian-style dresses all the times

I am not even that familiar with Lauren Sanchez beside recently seeing their photos all over the media while she is wearing lots of lacy spandex at middle age (not being ageist here, just observing) while Bezos probabily is realizing that no matter what, all his fortune cannot buy him a good head of hair 
. Of course, life is short and if they really love each other, they will spend it together luxuriosly and tacky at the same time, as they have the F-you money to do that. Yet, hopefully it will not be another boring celeb wedding, ready to divorce in the next 6 months. Good luck to the bride and groom!

A day after Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez tied the knot in Venice, many of their remaining guests gathered at the fabled Harry's Barin downtown San Marcos for a post-nuptial lunch. This, after a party on the island of San Giorgio that reportedly lasted until 2 a.m., and included some high-profile performances.
While some guests (such as Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan) left after the Saturday ceremony, many have remained in town. Spotted on the street were Orlando Bloom and Tom Brady, as well as Sydney Sweeney alongside Karlie Kloss.
They and other party members such as Usher and a selfie-snapping Tommy Hilfiger joined the Bezoses for lunch at Harry's, where the group dined on pizza and sipped bellinis.
The venue was surrounded by photographers and onlookers, with many shouting best wishes and questions at the billionaire Amazon founder. Some called queries about the protests that have rocked the city, but Jeff Bezos did not respond (perhaps he's allowing his 3 million Euro donation to speak for him).
