To be fair, by all accounts she is an intelligent and accomplished woman. But so is his ex-wife. He just wanted the kind of hot chick he couldn't get when he was younger and not a multibillionaire.

I don't think it's her hotness, it's her party girl vibe. She's clearly extroverted; his ex-wife was a quiet introvert. She wants to have a good time, do crazy sh*t like going to space, draw as much attention as possible... His ex strikes me as the exact opposite of that.

It's a cliche, but about ten years ago he started transforming from an unassuming balding nerd to the jacked Daddy Warbucks look of today and I guess he thought he needed a comparable partner. I'm sure his ex Mackenzie Scott laughs every time she seems him and Lauren together. She is putting her $38 billion divorce settlement to good use while he's having his midlife crisis.
