Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez

Listening to talk radio out of El Lay, they (two level-headed guys) said Lauren is way too good for Jeff because he's nowhere near her level of evolved human. I know very little about her. They said awhile back Leon Musk publicly criticized her for a huge donation of money and her response was to double her donation.
was that her or was it his ex? I saw something where Elon was trolling the ex-wife
McKenzie Scott has a lot more money than Lauren

It will make me feel so guilty and sad!
I started watching and stopped because of this very thing.

Back to topic--Bezos is the only guy I've seen that looks better bald than when he had hair. Still do not like him--pay your people what they are worth. Amazon will not be what it is now forever--look at Sears.

look at Sears.

True. And so many others. Nowadays, in the technology world, a five year period is like two lifetimes. It's hard to imagine who could compete with Ama zon, though some think that Walmart is capable. In and around Chicago, there are so many Ama zon warehouses that if you order something, in some cases it's at your doorstep in a couple of hours. I once ordered some hair rollers at 9 PM, and heard a thud outside at 3 AM. Rollers at my door. It was weird. Others have gotten their order in two hours.

When you drive past a warehouse you can see, like, a hundred delivery vans. Extrapolated over how many warehouses, that's a lot of trucks. And workers. And a lot of crap one doesn't need  (or does need). And that's just in Chicago, let alone the United States and the rest of the world.

I'll give it to Bezos. The infrastructure of Amazonworld is boggling. If he's happy with Lauren (if Lauren keeps him happy--apparently she's good at it), I don't think he cares what anyone thinks of all her cosmetic procedures. I think he's had a few, too. They're kind of like their own spectator sport and they like it that way.

I hate to burst everyone’s bubble here, but most CEO’s of major companies pay little or no taxes. I worked for FedEx ( and am retired from there ) and Fred Smith, the founder and CEO of the company pays no taxes. It does not make me happy, but that’s how things work in our country. As an ex-employee I have many benefits I am grateful for, but it is not fair.

As for workers peeing in bottles it happens at FedEx as well, but not for the reasons you may think. If you work in a major city you have access to bathrooms in high rises, but if you work in the suburbs and deliver to mostly residences you don’t have that option. I worked in center city Philly for 16 yrs and had no problems. It was a whole different story when I finally got a job in the suburbs. As A woman I could not pee in a bottle as a man could. But if I saw a bathroom I used it whether I needed or not, and thankfully there are Wawa’s all over the suburbs of Philly. My delivery driver from Amazon thinks he is well compensated. And when I see him I always asks if he needs to use the bathroom or could use a Snapple or a soda. My regular postal worker knows this as well.

And she could have had more, but she let Jeff keep a majority share.
Yeah, I remember reading it somewhere that if Mackenzie took all that she was entitled to, it would destroy Amazon shareholder balance and somehow create board problems- making Amazon impossible to continue. So she has the big heart and made the decision to keep Amazon in tact and walk away with less. Seriously I would have done the same.

She's a very good woman. So sorry, their marriage couldn't work out.

The point of the show is to make you THINK about your contribution to a “buy now” society.
If you felt guilty about it.. that’s a good thing. Means you care and can reflect on the situation we are all in!

Ama zon, Target, Walmart, Costco, grocery stores, cheap priced goods, FOMO when something expensive goes on sale.... many of us over consume once in a while....especially in certain retailers. At the same time, I don't begrudge or blame the retailers when I buy something I could live without. That's my responsibility. These days I'm buying less stuff, I like the stuff I already have. I do feel for parents of young kids and teens who face pressure to make their kids happy and fit in with their peers, and Amazon delivers fast. The few times I ordered anything via mail when I was young, waiting a matter of weeks was nothing!

There are bathrooms in the Amaz*n warehouses - they get extremely limited time to use them though.
