When I was there, Japan was marginally cheaper vs Europe. But buy where you have easy access. I heard from my friend who went to Paris in July that there was only a short queue.

Did Goyard have a price increase recently? I was charged 368,500 yen (before tax free) for the mini Anjou in green yesterday and I can’t find any mention online of a price increase…in hindsight I should have asked the staff but I was so excited to have found the bag I wasn’t thinking lol. TIA!

I got myself the Belvedere PM in navy in the Takashimaya Kyoto boutique, and the Mini Matignon wallet in green in the Takashimaya Tokyo boutique.

I’m glad I pulled the trigger on the Belvedere PM in Kyoto when I did, as there were no navy, green or burgundy Belvederes (my three choices) in any of the Tokyo boutiques when I visited them after Kyoto.

Tax refund was 10% with a 1.55% fee. It’s a shame that there’s no standalone Goyard boutique in Japan, otherwise the savings would be even better.

My family was just there and they said the stores in Takashimaya are now charging commission. Is that true?

I remember Takashimaya has been charging 1.55% for tax refunds since 2019
