Mine has reg hw, this one has silver (?) hw
What surprises me is that they shifted to modern tag format, Outlet bags used to have old style tag.
and, it has an old City bag ID number, 115748
All modern classic City bags have a new code - 555505 (if i am not mistaken)

They do make the Hip and G21 hardware Cities especially for the outlets now in agneau leather and from what I’ve seen so far the workmanship on them is really good. The leather is as always very variable from bag to bag so I was super happy when this came into store. I’m surprised though that the O has been removed (it seems), but on my friend’s red Town bought from the Outnet there is definitely an O on the tag.

Yes, it does seem that the "O" has been removed. If they're making calfskin classic HW bags for outlet they should prove to be popular. Wish we had an outlet here in Vancouver!

It looks like brushed silver HW I think. The one thing we know for a fact is that the outlet bags continue to surprise us! And that authenticating is going to be tougher...

I think they mainly still make them in agneau, there is even a catalogue with different styles where most of them are agneau. Based on the excitement of my SA when they received this bag I understand that calfskin bags are very rare to come by in the outlets. Btw, it seems like they’re willing to ship internationally so it’s possible to shop from Bicester through a personal shopper.

As for the tags both the specially made for outlets Hip that I bought for my mother and my City has the tag inside the zipped inside pocket. No O. However, my friend bought a red Town from theoutnet.com in January and her bag has a tag with an “O” and the item number is on the flip side of the tag outside the zipper pocket. So yeah, there doesn’t seem to be much of a system, but maybe they’re still trying to figure it out as the “older styles” are just now being phased out and the production of them for the outlets specifically is just starting up? :)

The thing with outlet is the lack of consistency. As @ksuromax pointed out this bag has the current style of tag where most of the outlet bags we've seen and the older style. Plus they're not always correct on colour code, style code, etc.

I’m actually waiting for a Town from Fashionphile and shouldn’t really have bought anymore, but I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve had several Balenciagas before, but to be honest I’ve struggled to find my dream combination of leather, colour, hardware etc. until I stumbled upon this. It just ticks all my boxes. It has that thick, supple calf leather of the blackout line, but with the regular sized hardware and long tassels. I’m in love!
