I've been a fan of Jane's since I saw her in Evil Under the Sun when I was a little kid. She and I share a birthday and I hope I embody a modicum of her signature simple, carefree style and joie de vivre.

Another reason to respect Jane Birkin is that she allowed herself to age naturally. And she was effervescent and gorgeous nonetheless.

I read an obit where she was quoted as saying she’d carried her Birkin so much it had given her tendonitis! I wonder if she was given any reward by Hermes for the use of her name? Hope so.

She was truly a fashion & style icon, everything about her was so chic and effortless. She will continue to inspire many as her style transcends time.

RIP Jane, such an icon! I loved the way she really used her bags, so cool and casual. I am using my own birkin 35 this week in her honour. TBH the 35 has always been my favourite size and it's one of my most used bags.
