Jackie leather durability?

How is the wear and tear on your Jackie with smooth leather? I was eyeing it but a little nervous it will scratch easily and show scratches.

I have had the Jackie in smooth leather and have sold it after a few months. The leather is very sensible for scratches, and the golden closure cratches the bag itself. I have stored the bag with some tissues around the closure, but when I opened and closed the closure it scratched the leather every time. That annoyed me so much! And the leather is very stiff, the handle isn't agreable to wear!

If I would buy the Jackie once again I would choose the grained leather.
