Has anyone successfully removed perfume odour from a Gucci bag with lining like the Jackie 1961?
I've tried:
1. airing the bag on the clothesline with the bag's lining pulled out exposed to the sun, for a few hours over a few days
2. sprinkled a good amount of bicarb soda on the lining and left it outside under the shade for a few hours
3. placed a ziplock bag of bicarb soda inside the bag (the ziplock bag not sealed) and stored the bag in the box unopened for a week.
4. leaving those crystal sachets in the bag all the time.
And... NO LUCK!
Bought the bag preloved, got a great deal, didn't occur to me to ask whether there's any odour. And it wasn't disclosed. I'm pretty annoyed about it but I love the bag. I wore it out for the first time today and the lingering odour really bugged me 😖 It's not just on the microfibre lining but also on the leather handle itself 😑
Please help before I decide to send it to a bag spa! Many TIA!
