I just got a Rolex this fall and am so happy with it! I also questioned the J12 for a slight second when I was deciding on a watch because it seems like a real lot of people on here have a j12 and love it but for me, it was not really an option because my style is classic and the look of the J12 just doesnt do it for me. I agree with others that Rolex is more classic and enduring and J12 is a bit more sporty and edgey. Have you tried both on in person? I woudl definitly say try on several styles of each and see what you really love!

Well, do you have any other watches? What type are they? It would greatly depend on your fashion style. If you want edgy, go for the j12. If you want a more classic timepiece, go for the Rolex.

I choose the Rolex BTW

They're two completely different watches, so it's hard to compare them. I had the money to get a Rolex, Cartier, or J12. I chose the J12 38mm in white with diamond markers. It just matched my personality more. It stands out sooo much and I get compliments on it almost daily.

Rolex watches are beautiful as well, and I do agree with what everyone else said that they are more timeless. I plan to wear my J12 to death for a very, very long time, but that's because I love how much it stands out.

I would have to say Rolex.

Rolex is a classic rather than a fashion piece and although the J12 is lovely, I don't think it will have the staying power of a Rolex. Rolex NEVER go out of fashion.

Well, I am in the minority here but my vote would be for the J12.
I would definitely enjoy having it on my wrist more than a rolex - oh boy, I know I won't hear the end of that one!
