Man, I go away for a few days and look what happens!!! What a fantastic christening of the new Chi MJ store!!!!! I know you have been lusting after the stam ever since you saw the sample back in Sept!! I am so happy you now have it! And the pouch is FAB!!!

oh i love the stam! you know this was the bag i have been dying to see, now i just have to decide which color. the taupe looks so nice, thanks for all those detailed pics! i love how the leather looks.
i like the pouch, too. my mbmj store had a few pieces from that line and i just fell in love! they are so fun. and you are right the leather is so nice. congrats jj so happy for you!!

I haven't seen the red, altho I am curious as to how that one looks (I'm kinda glad it wasn't there so that my decision was easier!)
The Black/Grey is gorgeous as well, but the details just *POP* on the Taupe - esp if you wear a lot of darker clothing (I wear a lot of blacks, greys and navy), the Taupe just really stands out
I'm not sure if the Pouch is part of the Birds of Paradise line or not - the bags are called the "Love Bird", "Thrasher" and then there's this Small Pouch. The Marky was also shown on the website, but of course MJ stores didn't order those - I really wish they had! The pouch was $295. I think with the details, the size and the leather it was completely worth it - I like it way better than the Palais Royal Flat cases and even the Paradise Flat Case (which was HUGE, btw!)OMGosh! gorgeous! love that it was in robert duffy's pic!!!

But it was totally worth the wait -- I think the changes they've made to the bag are an improvement. You should check them out and see what you think compared to the original one you saw last fall!

I think this is a great size pouch - its small enough that you can use it as a makeup bag/accessory case inside of your bags, but still roomy enough to be carried as a clutch.
It's approx 8 inches wide, 6.5 inches high and 1.5 deep. There's an inner zipper pocket as well. I've been looking for a small pouch to use inside of my bags for the longest time (I've been using a quilted Special Items case I bought when the MbyMJ store first opened), but everything I've tried has been too big & has taken up too much room (I like the Palais Royal cases, but found them just a little too big inside some of my bags). The leather is also buttery, squishy soft - I just want to keep petting it!!
I was actually able to fit the case inside of my Misfit (but rather than weigh it down unnecessarily, I chose not to use it in that bag)Thank you Jen!!omg... As soon as I saw the leather (esp on the back of the bag), I knew that bag was mine!!!I was actually considering the Rio originally - to try something new, since I have two stams already (one that's soft leather) -- but I don't think the Rio would "puddle" like the stam. And altho I really like the wavy pocket on the front, I'm not sure I love the graduating studs across the front versus the placement on the stam. I am still curious to see that bag in person (as well as the Red color). (altho I can't imagine loving it more than the stam -- I've been drawn to this style for while now!)
And FYI -- there's also the "Firebird" shoulder bag, which I believe can be carried Messenger style (at least it looks that way on MyTheresa's website

the sun was finally shining brightly today (it seems like it's been hiding all winter!) and I snapped a few more pics of the stam today -- these pics REALLY show the color more accurately and maybe you can get a good "feel" for the leather. You can see the rosy undertones so much better than the pics taken with the flash. I also took some really cool pics of the studs, which I'm going to add to the BAGS AS ART thread in the main forum
