We had that almost a year later. The exact date fell on a weekday, so that didn't work. Our parents and siblings knew about the elopement, but no one else did. Fast forward ten years, and DH thought it was stupid to deny us out of a year of legal matrimony just because most other people didn't know about our Vegas escapade. So he suggested celebrating our 10th last year instead of waiting until our tenth this year. I was all for it, since he'd promised me a new ring for "our tenth"! :p But after celebrating May 5th as our anniversary for 9 years, it didn't seem right to just dump the date in favor of May 24th! So we agreed to celebrate on both. There's your very long answer!

So yes, I totally think after eleven years, you can acquire a new anniversary! Just don't renew your vows on the same date! :graucho:

Wow purse what a gorgy watch.

I was about to ask the question too, what a fun story!!

You know we are travelling to NYC and Vegas in July and I thought it would be fun to get our vows renewed by my husband is a stick in the mud and not keen at all on the idea.
