All,
Thank you for all the support. I finally got my refund problem with Hermes resolved last week. FYI, Hermes do not do their own in-house VAT refund. They use Global Blue Service. Hermes gives only 10% VAT while Chanel is around 12 or 13% thru PremierTaxFree.

I have a slightly different problem, I bought a black 35cm kelly at Hermes Athens in August 2015 and the lovely staff helped me to fill in the global blue forms which I stamped at customs and sent in as required. 3 months later no refund. After aggressively chasing it with Global Blue, this evening I spoke to a Global Blue representative who told me that due to CAPITAL CONTROLS in GREECE despite Global having received my forms in August they have not been paid by the Greek Government, hence cannot give me my VAT refund!!!!!!!

So beware if you shop in Greece that the government may not give you your VAT refund back at all, so factor in that into your price before you think your Hermes purchases in Greece are a BARGAIN!!!

I am so upset after having been so pleased to score my first 35cm kelly in black!!!!

Have you gotten it back yet?

Btw, how much was it in Athens?

I'm going to buy Chanel, Hermes, and some other items in possibly both of Italy and France this October. I know that it is several months away, but I have been getting requests from friends and family members for men wallet in the similar size and similar color. I'm concerned if they will deny my purchase. If so, will I be able to repeat my purchase from different Hermes stores throughout Italy and France and still qualified for the VAT refund?

I'll be leaving from CDG. As far as I'm concerned, there are two agencies that I can claim VAT refund, Global Blue and Premiere TAX. If I happen to buy items more than one brands and one of which only works with Premiere Tax and another ONLY works with Global TAX. Will I be required to queue up for both counters?

If that is the case, will I have to queue up for custom stamp, then, Global Blue and Premiere TAX? It get confusing because I'm not member of both agencies, so I don't know if it is beneficial for me to subscribe to be a member for both agencies.

I was told that before I make a decision if I want to get cash back in EUROS or back to my credit card, I still check outside the gate if there is a long line to get cash back, is this true?

Please help!

VAT refund is only done as your last stop from EU, your case should be CDG.
Yes you have to line up for both queue for Premier and Global blue, when you do the purchase you have an option to either cash or credit card refund; Pls note Hermes in France ONLY do credit card, so you don't even have to bother asking for that.
You don't have to be any member to do the refund, but just beware the line could be line depends on which terminal you leaving from and what time.
If you need cash back, YES there's another line after the custom one.
It's a complicated procedure and very time consuming, I would suggest you go at least 3-4 hrs ahead in case any hiccups. good luck
