Hi guys, I bought my mini less than 2 weeks ago and have only used it once for 3/4 hours.
Is it just me or does it look like the gold is rubbing off-showing the silver??! :confused1::shocked:
I was soooo careful, wore a cream coloured blouse for it to rest on
I feel so sad because this is my first handbag purchase from the boutique! :-s

I’m going to bring it in tomorrow but what will they do?

I’m so upset about this....

Yikes! Let me check mine. I’ve worn mine in the rain 4-5 days and it was still perfect. My cat even accidentally pawed the top, so I have tiny scratches but no metallic removed. Now I will have to carefully double check.

Yikes. My metallic is wearing off on every part that the embossing sticks out and rubs against body. I’m more than likely going to keep this bag and when it get bad repaint certain spots myself, however, I think I’m offically done with Chanel and sticking with Hermes. I’m heartbroken to say this. I’ve had my bag 3 weeks, if that.

WOW, I thought maybe OP had a fluke defective bag, but it seems this is common??? How many times did you wear the bag in 3 weeks?

I have worn mine once so far for several hours and haven't noticed anything like this, now I feel scared to keep wearing it.

I thought OPs was a fluke too because my bag was worn on very rain days and looked great. As well as, the small scratches from my cat at the top look fine. It’s the back where your clothes rub against that’s quickly ruining the bag. I wore my bag 6 days straight before switching to a new one and storing it back in the box. I’m very known for taking excellent care of my bags, this is crazy. 6 days?!?!

This is so disturbing! Even if you wore it everyday for 3 weeks straight it should not have any damage on it. Wearing it for 6 days caused that though????? That is ridiculous. Are you going to return it? :( I'm so sorry!! I will be returning mine if that happens to it for sure....

Idk if I will return it or not. At this point I’m just done with Chanel. My husband thinks the silver showing looks cool, but he doesn’t know any better *rolls eyes*. I’m a notorious gold person, so this really worked for me, yet, I do also consider returning it. I feel like every bag like this will have the quality issue, which is why I’m considering keeping it, retouching it myself with gold paint when it gets bad, and just cutting chanel off permanately. My last three chanel bags have had issues and I even bought the flimsy iridescent flaps.

I understand. I honestly hate that I'm still drawn to Chanel! The quality issues that get worse every year (despite an ever increasing price) is just not okay and I don't want to support it unless things change drastically.

I feel stupid for more than likely going to keep this bag, but glad you get my dilemma. I just bought a coco handle and it keeps tipping over. Smh
