Is it silly to carry TWO bags at once?

So today I decided to give the two bag thing a shot and it worked out great for me! I've got my LV Neverful MM with my coach 6x8 agenda, a notebook, a book to read IF I get a break, a few snacks, pleated ergo wristlet with pens and other little work related papers/items and a file for a report I'm working on. I also brought my Legacy Shoulder bag in teal leather that I've got my wallet, personal 3x5 coach agenda, LV pochette with misc electronic items and my HS small cosmetic case with some lipglosses and other makeup. I love how all my stuff is nicely organized and I can find whatever I'm looking for. I did try out the HS tote instead of the neverfull and I don't think that looked too bad either. Thanks everyone for your help :)

Slightly off topic but what bag would be a good choice to use as a backpack when I start back to school in the fall? Because books don't fit into my purse unfortunately!

I usually carry my more valuable items (small Coach wallet or mini-skinny, keys, IPod,etc.) in a small bag that I lock in my desk. My desk and my work area are on two separate floors, so a wristlet holds small items (desk keys, lip gloss, nail file) that I tote around work. My larger and less valuable items (lunch, magazines, light sweater) are in a cheap tote bag that can hold the small bag and wristlet.

I think if it's a tote it's fine. Most days when I go to work I carry my purse with my personal stuff in it (right now a Carly), and a tote or larger bag for my work stuff - laptop, papers, etc., whatever I need that day for work. A lot of the women where I work do the same, there's no way we could fit everything in our purses, and we don't want to throw our personal stuff in our work bag either. I don't think it looks weird, and even if it does I honestly don't really care since it works for me!

i have been thinking about carrying my gigi with a smaller bag like bridgit inside. i would put keys, wallet, phone in the bridgit and book, sunglasses, mp3, hairbrush, etc in the gigi. have not tried it yet but this would allow you to carry your more valuable items with you and even leave the tote in the car (altho, the gigi is a valuable item i guess... hmmmm....) so confusing!
