Is it redundant to have 3 black classic flaps ? Am I the only crazy one out there

Keep them and wear them all. I love my black Chanel flaps--and each one is different with the hardware and leather. My collection is almost all black--and everyone tells me I should get more color- but black Chanel is what I like. Keep what you like and who cares what anyone thinks.

Not at all! I have 3 as well. A medium classic black flap caviar with silver hardware, a small 19 black with leading silver hardware, and a mini classic black with champagne gold hardware! Use them all for different reasons and will keep forever. Eyeing a so black mini trendy, too! Haha. My only Chanel in color was my first - a limited edition woc in red with a pink cc and silver hardware.

Not at all. Do what makes you happy. I myself have all black Chanel bags : medium boy with ruthenium hw, jumbo CF with ghw, small CF with shw, 225 Reissue Chevron SO black, WOC with lghw, plus their matching wallets. Figured with black, stains will never be an issue. All caviar except for aged calfskin for reissue.

I may be the minority here but unless they are drastically different styles, I do think they are redundant.

It all boils down to how you use your bags. I like the match bag hardware to jewelry so for me two black bags same style with different hardware colors make sense. But personally, same color bag, style, and hardware color would be a bit redundant. I think the exception would be an exotic leather variation.

I have brought my collection down to 12 bags and all are in black or beige.
I have 8 black ones currently, not all classics, but many overlap in function:
black ones I own currently:
- caviar Maxi SHW
- Lamb jumbo SHW
- Caviar Jumbo GHW
- Caviar Medium SHW
- Caviar mini square SHW
- Lamb mini tophandle light gold hardware
- Trendy cc black with GHW.
- Caviar WOC GHW.

So no, you are not the only crazy out there 😉

I have 5 classic flap, 4 black and 1 blu, and I am thinking to add others in black! And in some new color if there will be one that I like. I use them all and I find they have different uses. I have:
Maxi, black caviar, gold
Large, black caviar, silver
Medium, black caviar, gold
Medium, blue lamb, gold
Small, black lamb, silver
I really use them all depending on how much I want to carry and my outfit.

And I am thinking to add others…

I think the question is: do you use them? If so, it’s ok. If you don’t, then you should sell some

I definitely know what I like! But they fit my style & they all have a different purpose. 😁
