Does anyone here know about excise tax and dealing with customs in Thailand. Im bringing 2 coach bags with me?I think it is popular. A few years ago, I met a couple at the outlet who went to Thailand every few years. They always bought a bunch of Coach bags before they visited so they could sell them to their friends.
Doesn't Coach cost a lot more in Thailand than in the US?

Thank you for the information. As an American bringing gifts, would it be wise to have my receipts on me? I hadn't even considered it, but I guess better safe than sorry!Last time I checked:
Free import for non-residents:
- for holders of transit visas or who can obtain a visa on arrival: up to THB 10,000 per person or THB 20,000 per family.
- for holders of tourist visas: up to THB 20,000 per person or THB 40,000 per family.
Most coach bags won't exceed the maximum the declaration value. You can take them out of the boxes/packages as most of the time they would view it as your personal belongings.
