Is a 50cm Birkin too big to be a carryon?

I carry my 50 cm birkin all of the time with my LV wheel on case with not a problem, ever. I don't know what the experience of others have beeen, but I have never had a problem. Funny think is I'm in the airport right this minute waiting for my connecting flight with the wheelie and my 50 cm birkin in tow.;)

I've never been stopped or forbidden to carry it on, not by TSA, the airline gate agents nor the flight attendants. I've been stopped and made to check LV keepalls, but never the 50cm birkin. I took it to St. Barths and to Dominican Republic and even to Barcelona and Valenci all this year. I wish I could post a picture directly from my I phone. I'm in an airport right now at the gate awaiting my flight.

I place them both overhead! I pack my entire load between the 2 bags and never check luggage. I've missed a cruise b4 because my luggage did not make the flight. I had to fly to St. John just to meet my boat 2 days later! Since then, only carry-ons for me whenever possible. Having the 50cm makes that possible.

The 50 is way outside the size limits for a single carry on piece of luggage. Plus carrying a wheeled piece of luggage is more than the allowance. How are you able to get that past the gate agents?

Wow, that is some extensive research, Mistikat! Lucky for me, the airline doesn't seem to mind as much as you do.

I was just trying to answer the question posed which is
"Is the 50cm Travel Birkin too big to be carryon luggage? " posed by coach. My answer is "YES" because I use it for that purpose. I truly think that one's deciding whether it is too heavy or whether it takes pleasure out of travel is a matter of personal preference and opinion.
