YikesIt actually started this year. That is why I have limited my selling this year to avoid the tax impact. I only do it on reseller sites, but they! have to report over 600.

Technically you were always supposed to report your income. Ebay made a mistake for 2021 and sent me a 1099 even though I didn't reach the threshold but it was more than $600. They sent me an email saying it wasn't sent to the IRS but I don't know if that is true. I wonder what will happen if I don't put it on my taxes.Yikes
That's strange. I thought ebay is supposed to report it.Technically you were always supposed to report your income. For 2021 not unless it is over $20,000. For 2022, as long as it is more than $600.That's strange. I thought ebay is supposed to report it.
It's such a big difference. It's as if Uncle Sam wants to nickel and dime basically everyone trying to sell something. For 2021 not unless it is over $20,000. For 2022, as long as it is more than $600.
Only for people with residency in the US.It's such a big difference. It's as if Uncle Sam wants to nickel and dime basically everyone trying to sell something.
I wonder how this applies to foreign sellers?
Probably nothing.
Just bought two slgs... and really want a kisslock/double kisslock utility/coin purse... sigh! Haha xSo much for being good on ban... I bought that belted pouch in leaf! But it's a colour AND style gap in my collection so I'm not double-buying like usual. More intentional vs impulse hoarding.
I've never found a double kisslock vintage coin purse. I used to have double kisslock nonvintage that was big enough for credit cards. I shouldn't have gotten rid of it. It looked like this:Just bought two slgs... and really want a kisslock/double kisslock utility/coin purse... sigh! Haha x
eta I really have to stop my spending so I'm lucky I'm not seeing any prices/colours/condition ones I want.
They're all GORGEOUS! Especially the lime and double kisslock. Does anything else fit in the lime?I've never found a double kisslock vintage coin purse. I have two vintage coin purses. I've never used either. They are so cute I don't want to ruin them with coins!

I used to have a bunch of tiny nonvintage coin purses. The only one I ever used was one that was already in lousy condition. Again, I didn't want to ruin them. Here are a couple. Aren't they adorable?

Now I use a vintage Chanel for my coins. It isn't a kisslock. It is black leather in and out so I don't have to worry about coins staining it.View attachment 5342710
I agree. I hate that they are picking on the little guy. It's such a big difference. It's as if Uncle Sam wants to nickel and dime basically everyone trying to sell something.

Thanks! I think the green one is from around 1996. It is fairly big for a coin purse but because of the frame, it won't hold cards. I don't think it was ever used. There is a bit of unintentional two-tone that I love. They're all GORGEOUS! Especially the lime and double kisslock. Does anything else fit in the lime?
I'm with you exactly on not wanting to ruin them with coins. That's why I want a kisslock on the bigger side so I can put my cards/other stuff in. But then if the two vintage card cases I just bought at a great price (and have always wanted) are as expected I won't have any excuse to buy a kisslock!
I went way off ban island for this, to another country! Well I bought it here but it is an overseas exclusive I had never seen before. This is one of those purchases that has me firmly set to my goals (I have one wish list item I am hoping to hold off on ). I love the dark pink color. It is listed as rouge I think.

If they actually did send to IRS and you don't report you will just get a CP2000 in the mail. It is computer generated. It will have proposed additional taxes/penalty that you can agree and pay or disagree and state why. If you didn't make a profit all you do is respond that you received payments, but you also have receipts (COGS) for the items and there was no net profit. Or if there was a small profit show that and send the additional tax owed. With how backed up they are it would probably take forever to get a response. If they did not send to IRS just keep your records.Technically you were always supposed to report your income. Thanks! I got a CP2000 a few years ago when I made a mistake on my son's taxes. I put something in the wrong year. I panicked and immediately filed amended tax returns for both years. Later I talked to someone there who told me that if I had just called, they would have accepted my explanation and I wouldn't have had to do anything. If they actually did send to IRS and you don't report you will just get a CP2000 in the mail.
