DH is going into survivalist mode. He loves watching survivalist programs so he just needed a little push to get him going. We went to an Asian restaurant today. They had a sign in the window that said prices on rice dishes were higher because of rice shortages. Right after we ate, we went to a grocery store and stocked up. By the way, there didn't seem to be a shortage of anything in the store - no empty shelves.

I have Thumper and the metal Dumbo charm from the original full priced collection, not the current factory collection. At one time I would have bought the entire collection but now I'm trying to be more selective. I have way more charms than bags, which is kind of crazy since I only need one charm per bag, and some of those I have don't really go with any of my bags.

I don't have the floral bouquet but I think I know which one you are talking about. It isn't blasphemy to wear them on vintage Coach. I put charms on some of my vintage bags. It just depends on whether I think it looks good. There are some antiqued brass charms, possibly from older collections, that I think look great on vintage bags. I really like some of the charms made 10 to 15 years ago. They were generally smaller but more detailed. It annoys me when charms don't have anything interesting on the back. In one case, I attached two charms back to back so it would look good no matter which way it turned.
Well now I'm jealous. Thumper is my favorite, mainly because he's twitterpated (sp?) Lol Bambi is mine and my dad's favorite movie. Aside from the jungle book,of course.

This is the bouquet one I'm talking about. It's so pretty.
I'm not sure really which one I would put it on though. Vintage or not. Lol I've not really come across any older ones yet. Everyone seems to want to get rid of the newer ones so that must speak to the quality of the older ones.

There are always more newer items listed on resale sites than older ones. The older items are either in people's collections or were used to death. Because they are less available, often when they are listed, they are priced above retail. Not so long ago, charms were priced retail at $38 and $58, and you could commonly find charms at the outlets for under $20. Now they are mostly priced much higher.

Oh wow, increased prices on rice dishes? It’s true about rice shortages at Asian Supermarkets. My Costco was out of TP when I stopped by on Tuesday — they restock regularly but they sell out quickly. The cashier was advising people to come at 8:30 am before the store opens to get first dibs on TP. You are lucky you have no shortage in your area.

That is a very pretty combination, the taupe with silver.

I thought I should use my silver charms on my bags with darker hardware like my mineral Mercer, metallic blue Charlie and embossed Sophia, rather than buy more bags to "go with" my charms. I'll take a few photos if I try them out this weekend. Besides, I've got my eye on a bunch of gold hardware charms at Coach for this most recent PCE. There's an orchid tearose, a tearose charm I need for my Dinky bags and a hibiscus tag for my rehabbed Rambler. I'm also considering the multi -blue feather charm for my Cassie-- when it gets here.
I can't wait to see your charms! They sound beautiful with those tea roses and feathers.

Well, I want to come across an older brass one now. Lol do you have a picture of one of your favorites? I love seeing all the different ones.
I saw a woman the other day at Walmart that had a GIANT 3D Rexy charm on what looked like a Chelsea? It was super cute.

Thanks, TO! There a lot of cute charms available this spring, but I will try to not buy too many. I have quite a few already and should subscribe to the "use what I have" club. By the time I add up the amount of three or four charms, I could have bought a wristlet or small bag.

I love all those leather charms from about 8-10 years ago. All those cute doggies, the fish and birds! I actually had more than I realize as I gave a few away to some friends, and my patent Apple is attached to my school keys. Those butterflies are cute, too! We both have the big bee and two of the flowers, the daisy and the pink sequin tearose.

My BBW hand sanitizers (regular and pocket size) arrived!!! And an extra thing of soap. They smell so good. Thanks to everyone for their comments/support regarding my crazy week. I saw some online post saying the only thing spreading faster than the C-virus is idiocy, lol. But this thing is very real indeed. My friend’s elderly parents are currently on the cruise ship that is being held on the coast of CA while everyone on board is being tested .

My poor step daughter is super sick right now, they aren't sure what's going on. Please keep her in your thoughts.
Also me, my daughter, and my son. He's cutting 4 teeth at once and keeping us all up. Medicine, cold wash cloths, and the wooden spoons aren't working for him the way they did wonders for my daughter. They're being difficult and it's making me so sad to see him in pain. Last time he was hurting this bad he was in the NICU having a hard time breathing and it's giving me severe anxiety seeing him like that.
Bleh, my husband needs to move back home. Sorry for rambling.
Please keep us in your thoughts. ♥️

On a lighter note though, I have found myself in a web of Coach bag charms and oh. my.
I wasn't aware there were so many adorable ones. My three year old wants the Minnie Mouse that looks like she's in full angry roller derby mode. Lol

I'm sorry to hear you have a house full of sick ones. That gives you no time for you to feel better and recuperate. I hope you are getting some sleep and everyone feels better soon.
