Do you notice that some people think you're younger when you carry a backpack? When I had 2 in diapers, I used a backpack diaper bag and people constantly thought I was much younger. I was so amused until I saw another mom my age with a backpack and sandals just like me and thought she was a teenager. Ha! I loved using a backpack but just don't anymore. Hmmmm now I'm thinking if it really works as antiaging maybe I should rethink that. A backpack is great-in college I didn't even carry a purse! Ah that was sweet! If I didn't have the backpack, I just had what I needed in my pocket.

I think it was great from the 1980s to about 2003, then it depends on the collection. Vintage styles that were remade after 2003 aren't as good quality as the originals. Many people love the 2006-2007 Legacy collection. Personally I love the 2007-2008 Bleecker collection. I have many bags from the 2012 Legacy collection but they aren't all the best quality. Factory bags from around then weren't very nice either. I think I've heard that factory bags are starting to be made with better leather.

I can only speak for the Isla outlet bag I just bought... but if I didn’t know any better I would have thought it was a FP bag. Nice pebbled leather and substantial hardware. Not 1941 mind you, but def FP. If they had it in other colors/hardware I was seeking I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

Hmm. An angle i had not thought of... I kinda like the hands free idea, lately i'll use the long strap on my Grace Satchel when i am toting my DGS as i need my hands free! wish i could use a x-body but i need to actually feel my arms lol

Backpacks definitely have a carefree aura to them, guess that is why they bring a youthful appearance?

It’s a great little bag. I have two in that style in different colors. Both recently acquired. Lightweight too. I wore mine during a concert, dancing and all. Loved it! The worst thing is remembering which zippered pocket you put things in. Lol

Yes! Carefree and ready to go! I read a blurb that said a backpack says you are an adventurer. I like that.
