I have progressives. After awhile, you get used to them and you don't even realize that you are switching from the top to bottom. For some reason, they don't work that well with my tablet. Probably because I'm trying to look down too far and I'm looking through the edge of the frames.

I hate picking glasses. I can't see what they look like on because they don't have any lenses and I'm blind without my glasses!
That's why you have to either take selfies or have some one take your pic with different frames on. Then look with your glasses or send pics to others for opinions. :)

I honestly needed everyone's fashion sense at the eye doctor. I am so bad at picking glasses. And the girl was kind of shy about helping me. I completely missed the girly girl gene.

She didn't look thrilled at either choice so I may have paid money to look like an idiot.
It takes me forever to pick out frames. I usually take a few pictures of the ones I like the best, take them home and ask DH/DD. And then go back to buy them. For me, it is a more serious decision than buying a purse because I wear them everyday for 1-2years until my next pair.

Progressives are bifocals without the line. I'm not looking old. I'm kind of rethinking spending the money for it since I don't use glasses to read. I was thinking about work where I didn't want to start breaking out the readers. I figured it would look just like regular glasses. We'll see I'll guess.

I'm in shock with a couple hundred. I've only gotten regular glasses and they were only $50 after insurance.

All three! :happydance:
All three?!? I'd love to! Are you messing with me? [emoji848] I definitely love all of them!

So I thought it's because I'm a transplant from Southern California. So I asked my husband (younger than I am). He's lived more east coast. Nope, he knew term his whole life too. Maybe it's alive regionally?

I've only lived half my life in USA. My other half was overseas. Only if my mom waited 2 months to give birth I'd have been born an American, in California. She was young and didn't know any better and hopped on the plane 7 months pregnant, to be with my dad in another country. Otherwise I'd have definitely known about cheater glasses! Lol!

I grew up in California and have lived here most of my life. I never heard it until I started watching 30s and 40s movies.

I moved to Southern California from Japan when I was 11. I had dual citizenship until I turned 18 and then I became a full American. Coincidentally, my grandma was my MIL’s homeroom teacher when she was in high school. I met him here.

Perhaps. I'm a Midwesterner and am familiar with the term! I have also worked in healthcare for the past 11 years, so maybe that has something to do with it.
