Was just at FSH to check in on availability of Constance, saw a young Arab lady being offered a pink croc birkin 35 (she was carrying a gorgeous etain/brown croc birkin herself) and another asian lady trying on a K35 in gold.

Lots of wrist leather hardware in almost all colors esp for the Hapi.

Boutique wasnt full and there was no line at bag section.

A pink croc B sounds divine. Wish we were going to Paris this year although DH offered. FSH always has wonderful goodies but our Canadian custom is ever so vigilant making it hard to bring bag too many things.

OMG. Yes. I remember when I was in Paris in 2009, the SA helping me gave me a list of about fifteen Kellys in size 35 to choose from. Those certainly were the days.

I was there in fall of 2009 and FSH had so many Ks and Lakis but I was on a mission for a Lindy--now I wish I'd gotten one. :(

Sounds unreal when you mentioned that there was no line at the bag section. What time was it ?

Fabfashion, I know what you mean. Every time I go, I always get a little nervous bringing things back over the border. If there is one thing I've learned, it's better to be honest than to try to hide everything! I generally always declare and even if it's over the limit, they have only taxed me once!! Maybe honesty is really the best policy!

Canadian customs want to tax everything. It makes me really hesitate to buy goodies in the States or Paris. Last time I declared my B and they charged me 23% duties+tax in total, which ended up paying more than buying a B in Canada.
So right now, I make most of H purchases in Canada. sign...

@Tdub3939...wow... I'm scared to buy bags overseas... but do you ever declare the full value of h bags? And they usually never tax you? I never knew that!!!
This exactly.

My personal experience has been that it seems a bit easier to pass through custom coming back from the US than Europe. I'd declare my purchases but seem to get 'grilled' more when back from Europe (copy of receipts, what did you buy, show me, etc.). Years ago, I went to Asia and bought a Cartier watch. The duty+tax worked out to about 30%. It'd have been cheaper to have bought it here. Also from what I heard, Vancouver custom is even more strict than Toronto. They're supposed to be trained to recognize branded bags (make and model) so they can spot one on you. I still buy bags mostly from the US but tend to find ways to just ship them back to my shipping location in Niagara Falls, NY and drive there to pick it up and just carry it back.

Hmph...it seems to me that at least the rules should be the same in the US as fine art, which would exempt any SOs from customs (unique works of art and those with fewer than 35 versions are automatically exempt and anything rare is usually exempt).
