Introducing the New Beverly Bag!

I'm kinda meh about it. It's nice, but I don't crave it. Maybe in a bright colour I'd like it, but it doesn't look comfortable to wear. If I'm having a complicated bag to open, it'll be a Tod's Wave, because it's compact and pretty.

I echo most of the opinions. I fell in love with BV for the simplicity and light weight. Also, my life is casual so anything very tailored is a no. It all comes down to personal preference, as most things do.

I hope you enjoy it, J. It's a great bag for your lifestyle.

When I saw the runway version, I thought it was great. Wonderful, rich colors, beautiful structure. Now that it's in the shops (and priced at over $3000), I'm not impressed. The strap is just too short for it to be worn comfortably in winter when you're wearing a coat. I had the same issue with the Olimpia until they came out with the longer strap version. I also don't like those big rings. Overall, it's a pass, which is too bad because I really do like my Olimpia and am waiting for another BV bag to put on my wanted list.

I've pretty much stopped paying attention to the prices because I know I cannot afford to buy a new BV anyway, at least in the near future.

But as a bag, I do like the structured-ness, and shape of the wings. Bags like the Beverly fit really well under my arm (ex. my Torchon). I have not seen this in person, but have a feeling that I would need to, to truly make up my mind.

Your Torchon Bag has such a nice shape to it, but I wonder if the Beverley would be a bit fiddly with getting things in and out. I have a Gucci Jackie and I always leave the piston lock undone because I am forever undoing it to grab things. Not that I can't pull stuff through, but I like to just stick my hand in and voila. You never know when you have to pull a rabbit out of your bag.
I will have a good look at this in a few weeks when I will be in the vicinity of three BV boutiques, and I will report back.

You don't like the Campana, right? Did you have issues with the shoulder straps?
