The leather is very soft and supple, similar to the classic monogram canvas version. I think this particular version of Speedy is supposed to be slouchy and 'sagging' :). I did try to place an insert inside and instantly the bag holds its shade, but I actually prefer the slouchy-ness shape on this bag. Hope this helps :)

It is still under the Empriente leather collection, but it is thinner / softer. I checked the tag and it says: Exterior (Vachetta Leather); Interior (Suede Calfskin).
