Great that the so black jumbo has the same structure, just wondering how the crumpled calfskin feels like in texture? Does it feel smooth or has a more rugged feel to it? The distressed calfskin in the chevron reissue feels so incredibly supple and smooth even though it's distressed. Does the crumpled calfskin feel the same or more rigid?

I think this calf actually feels quite nice. To me, it feels softer and more smooth than the rigid caviar- I like the texture and feel. Not as soft as the reissue leather, but a nice in-between leather. I really like the feel and look of this leather.

I was messing around with the bag more to see if I could answer any more questions pertaining to the leather. The bag's quilts are not overly puffy and I tried to include a photo of that. But they are not flat either, more like the classic caviars you can get that can be less puffy. The quilts are soft when you press on them, but definately different than lambskin. I can't really see them indenting over time, seem a lot firmer than lambskin quilts. As I mentioned before, the leather is in between caviar and lamb/reissue distressed calf/ smooth calf on the feel. The leather most reminds me of the calf leather used on the latest boy with handle bag, except less puffy, more firm, and smaller grains. Also, less of a sheen to it. The leather on this bag seems extremely durable to me. It looks less luxe in comparison to some leathers (lambskin), but I think this leather really works with the bag. Hope this helps even more...

Congrats on your beautiful bags and your collection are amazing. I really like your reissue which is really hard to find. I just post an reissue that my sa send me. Looks like the same leather with yours? Could you take a look the picture and let me know if you think they are the same? My sa also told me the distressed calfskin is discontinued and replaced by this one. Have you heard anything about that? Thanks!!

Based on your photo, the leather looks very similar. I haven't heard anything about the distressed calf leather being discontinued for reissues. If so, that is sad news. Maybe call Chanel customer service and inquire just to be sure?
