Snake can be so delicate. I have a RL collection long wallet in snakeskin & it's beautiful but so delicate. If i look at it funny it scratches lol
My bvlgari & MK snake pieces are actually a lot more sturdy than the RL.
I do not have real croc or gator pieces, unfortunately.

I purchased this Nancy Gonzalez for a friend for $440 from Fashionphile. I thought it was a great bag. I have looked at a lot of Hermes exotics online. The Hermes scales are very smooth in the center. The scales on NG bags are kind of crinkled in the middle. I would rather pay NG prices than have an expensive bag that could easily be damaged by a few rain drops.

It’s because they are different animals. She uses caiman while H uses croc and alligator, they haven’t used caiman in decades.

I hope your friend enjoys their lovely new bag :smile:

Not to cast shade on this beautiful NG bag, but the scales are ”crinkly” because it is a different species than alligator or croc. It is caiman.
