Old trick ... try turning out all the lights in the area, and sweeping a flashlight over the area. If the diamond is around, it should glint up at you. I really hope you find it ....

I'm so sorry this happened. If you haven't already, check the soles of the shoes you and your family have been wearing in the bathroom - sometimes things can stick in the soles.

Good advice and this really works! I would call a plumber before giving up complete hope,even though your husband dismantled the pipes.(unless DH is a plumber?)

Check your vacuum also. Check your car perhaps, and even the bottom of your purse.

I tripped up the stairs last week and smashed my engagement ring into the edge of the riser. My diamond flew out of my ring! Of course I knew it was in the house so it wasn't hard to find.
I knew I had a broken prong but forgot to drop it in for repair?
Now I have a bigger problem.

i'm so sorry! i also suggest chekcing everywhere - maybe its possible that the diamond fell out before u went to the sink?? i hope it pops up somewhere for u...
