I'm so upset! I lost the diamond out of my ring!

Oh no! I hope you find it! It happened to me too in the ladies bathroom of all places but I heard it hit the floor and thankfully it fell next to the toilet and not in it :push:

Hearing this terrifies me. I'm so paranoid about the very unlikely possibility of my stone somehow coming out of my engagment ring that I don't know what to DO. I must glance at it thirty times every hour just to make sure that it's all still there. I love my very modest ring, and would feel HORRIBLE if something happened to it.

I hope you find your stone!

I'm on the same boat as how caxe feels...it's terrifying...and makes me feel paranoid too. I hope it is found, and when it's found...relief...and surely this just reminds me of how much i take for granted my own ring. All that hard work from your hubby that has gone into the ring hasn't been lost physically, but it's within your heart and nothing can take that away.

Hope us girls could cheer you up some how.

I am so sorry to hear this happened... 2 years ago I lost my entire wedding set :crybaby: I did get a new set and it is MUCH "nicer" but I totally understand exactly how you are feeling!! I am sorry and I will keep my fingers crossed for you to find it!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement, I knew you all would understand how I feel. This morning I stepped on something in the
carpeting that I thought was my diamond. Well, it turned out to be a
piece of rock candy my daughter must have dropped. Talk about a let down! Well, I'm still going to keep my hopes up that it will turn up somewhere. Thanks again.

I feel for you completely. My original engagement diamond solitaire fell out after about 10 years of marriage just after moving into our new home. I think it must have been sometime during a local grocery shopping trip. I have horrified visions of one of those industrial floor polishers dragging the stone across the store floor. Ugh. I never found the stone. Hubby replaced it about a year later with a reset stone in a 6-prong setting. Turns out on my 1st ring that one of the gold prongs sheared off & the diamond just slipped out. It's been at least 6 years and this setting has stayed secure, but now I have it checked out at the local jewelers occasionally and also more recently had my wedding band gold-welded to the E-ring to stop the prong from slowly wearing away as the bands spin next to each other.

Best luck, especially since homeowners policies these days will cancel you if you claim for something like this that they consider to be 'minor'.

Aw :crybaby:. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Darn... keep looking. Have you looked inside the bag of your sweeper? If you had it in the bathroom, look under the ledges and behind the toilet...maybe it's blending in.
I sure hope you find it!!! I had lost one of the diamonds in my 3 stone anniversary band... it has 3 emerald cut diamonds and then princess cut diamonds going down either side. I had just gotten it and was so upset... but guess where we found the diamond.... in my jewelry cleaner!!!!
:hugs:
