I'm now buying outfits for bags . . .

I'm thinking practicality... you're wearing this tonight right?? I don't know about PA, but I know its fairly close to MI... and if you wore those shoes tonight in MI you'd, a) have your feet freeze off & b) be covered by 6 inches of snow...

I agree, your toes would freeze. I love the shirt but I do agree with deweydrop, blackshoes would go much better. When I looked at your picture the first thing I noticed were your shoes ..
oh and loving the purse!!

Sorry for the delay - I got a call from my grandmom. I'm taking her out in a little while with my daughter :)

This is actually an outfit for tomorrow night, I didn't say that before, so I do have time to "tweak" the outfit before then!

I just got a wonderful suggestion from Betty Boop to try some off- white/winter white pants, which I think I'll look into. I also have a ton of black shoes that would work so I know I can try those too if all else fails.

dewey and spoiled rotten - I tried gauchos, but I have what I call "stubby leg syndrome", and bottoms that stop mid-leg just do not work. I did try a couple of skirts I had, but wasn't loving that.

kallison - thanks so much for the compliment! If I don't find a pair of lighter pants to work, I'll probably just switch to some black heels I have.

coach1979 and bags4bubbles - I'm in southeastern PA, so it's cold, but no snow. Since we'll be inside except for getting in/out of the car, I wasn't too worried about the toes (but that's something to keep in mind). Thanks for the compliments on the bag and shirt.

I have to get ready to pick my daughter up from school soon. But while I'm out with her and grandmom, I'm going to try and see if I can find some pants (and then I will have really bought the ENTIRE outfit for the darn bag).

Thanks again everyone, it's great geting opinions and advice from from such a nice group of people! I really appreciate it!

I'll update you later!

I have to agree, I don't like the shoes. For me though, it isn't the fact that you're wearing them with black pants, I just don't like that many straps on it. It looks off to me. But then, I hate sandals *L* So my opinion is biased anyway.

I do agree though, that black shoes would look a lot sleeker. I LOVE the shirt and pants on you though, with the zoe. Great!

:roflmfao: Get new pants too girl!! LOL... go for a whole new outfit... ;)

Wow the lengths we go to... It's a really cute bag though...

Ok, I'm back with the update. I have successfully found a pair of off white pants which I really love and fit wonderfully (and were over 50% off - woo-hoo!), so they're staying regardless of the final outcome.

So here are pics of the updated outfit, in two combos: black pants w/black shoes and off white pants with the off white shoes. As will be evident from the picture, I am now exhausted (taking 94 year old grandmom around with the 5 year old knocks me out) and looking a bit more "schlumpy" than I was before, so bear with me . . .

I actually am liking both of these, and we're going out with friends next weekend (so excited - I can't remember the last time dh and I had going out alone plans 2 weekends in a row), so whatever I don't wind up wearing tomorrow, I'll probably wear next weekend.

And I have to say thanks again - you guys are such great helps (and you're great for my self esteem too!

And dewey, if I got the striped one, I think we'd have to start a sub-forum for this thread! LOL!

OH OH... or red shoes!!!

OMG, I have an awesome pair of red suede shoes - they're even trimmed in a brass color which would match the hardware on the bag . . . Hmmmmmmm. Alright, tomorrow I'll try that (I'm in pjs right now and waaay too lazy to go all the way upstairs and change). Perhaps I could wind up with 3-4 outfits - gotta love that!

Thanks Kallison! While I don't dislike the white with those pants, the black shoes definitely go with them better.

Thanks so much oobabzooo and janfill! I've been out of wearing black and black/white for a while, but this bag brought me back!
