My testimony to Brasso: it really works!

Last week I was playing with my bags and noticed the buckle on my Rose PM had really some strange spots of discolouration. This bag is under 3 years old and my first bag to show tarnishing hw. I was excited to try out Brasso and very happy with the end result.

Here are my pics of how easy Brasso is to use - all it took was half a Qtip and a tiny spot of cream. This polish session made my Saturday lol. Hope someone finds this helpful

Hi MB, I’ve just seen your post. What an amazing job! My MPA strap has these light spots of discolouration on the hardware. It’s not even a year old and is hardly used due to lockdown. Do you think Brasso will help? TIA

Something to note. I have used Brasso on my Speedy gold locks that tarnish so quickly to much success. This past weekend, I used Brasso on the buckle of my PA shoulder strap using a cotton ball and now there are scratches. I noticed no scratches appear when using a cotton swab. I’m not sure if I put too much pressure or the cotton ball was too abrasive but I’m sticking with cotton swabs.

I used a q-tip dipped in the residue left in the lid after shaking the tin and then polished with a microfiber cloth. This is my MPA strap before and after.

@MyBelongs to Louis thanks for posting your before and after pics using Brasso. It encouraged me to buy some and try it out on my MPA strap. I wanted to experiment first on my capucines wallet and the results are amazing. I feel confident now to apply it to my strap.
