Im stressing over the same problem. I would get the mono first and then the damier. You can never have too many!!

I had the same question and decided on the mono Speedy 30. (buying it after work!!!!!!!!!!!) I like the Damier look but think I prefer it in a more structured bag, like the Ribera.

I agree, I went throught the same conflict and decided I like the mono speedy better for for the damier the Ribera fits really nicely.

I had a similar problem when deciding to buy my alma. I was sure that I wanted the mono, but I was afraid of the vachetta bottom. I thought the damier one was more expensive but turned out that they were the same price. So, I opted for the damier one instead, simply for easier maintenance. They were both beautiful looking bags, and I had quite a hard time deciding b/w them.

Now with the speedys.. both are great looking bags. Damier is low maintenance, no need to worry over dirt on the handles and so on. The mono is a classic, with vachetta handles and trimming that will acquire patina in long term. I say, if you want a worry free bag go get the damier one.

Put it this way - I wish I'd known the Damier was going to be the same price as the Mono before I bought my 30. Not that I'd give up my mono baby now, but I wouldn't have bought it first.

I am with you, I got 25 and I thought I love speedy stye and need bigger and I bouught 30. If I knew about damier speedy I could wait getting 30. So now I have 2 mono speedy.:suspiciou

Oh, great! It seems split down the middle...now it's going to be even harder to decide! I'm not really worried about taking care of the mono, I just don't know which one I'll like better. I'm not sure if I'll get sick of looking at the "chessboard" on the damier.:shame: I think it's all going to come down to seeing them both in person. I think I'll like the 25 better, too...I don't carry much. Anyways, thanks for your opinions!
