jmae - I'm in love with the earrings! Just head over heels because it was so thoughtful. She really made me feel so much a part of the family and I was so touched by her words when she gave them to me. *I still can't stop staring at your avatar still, yum!*

ame - Thank you! I'll definitely post pictures when I get the wedding band soon. DF's band is with them too while they engrave them for us. In the past few months I have acquired more jewelry than I have ever in such a short time. 2011 is definitely a crazy splurge year!

Lanier - Thank you, I was really surprised that she wanted to do something this extravagant for me. I don't ever intend on taking them off!

Xiao - Thank you! We really were worried that FMIL would be mad about us spending so much on her. But she ended up really loving it! Of course she asked how much it was because she worried we spent too much.... but still, we are just happy she loved it! DF picked out the design for her.

Finally got the wedding bands in! Now with finals and everything over I was able to make a trip and pick them up...

Here is the full set with DF's ring:

And then just to show the spacer with everything from the side angles. My jeweler perfectly found the right size for my spacer to clear the basket and still seem invisible:

When I first got them I thought it looked way too bulky all together and it weighed a ton but now that I've gotten a bit used to seeing it together I think it looks pretty good and works well together... But fickle fickle me will always need a few days to settle in and fully LOVE anything.

Thanx! Hope wedding planning is treating you well! SF is a tough city for everything wedding related because it's so costly. My dress comes in less than a month and so I'm really scared and excited.

hahaha I had to "test drive it" earlier for spinning and size. But I think right now I prefer the look of my e-ring alone. Baby bling steps at a time... The weight of all three is much more than I'm used to and the sides of the band can feel weird sometimes because I'm so used to the smooth shank of the engagement ring so I have to get used to that... but what's great is that it solves the spinning issue i had. I'm also glad I went with 2/3 eternity too because having a smooth bottom is more comfortable and they were able to engrave on the top side with the diamonds so I can size without losing the engraving in the future!

DF loves his ring though and finds it comfortable right away! He said it felt "right". He's just so sweet... He really loves the simple milligrain and the width of it. He has shorter fingers and really loved that he was able to get one that was 5mm.

Well, you haven't been engaged very long, so I can see the allure of just wearing your ER. My engagement was close to 2 years, so by the time the wedding was getting close, I was DYING to wear both.

wow! 2 years! My family has a legacy of short engagements... I think my 6 months engagement is the longest in my family so far... my mom and dad were 3 months and my older sister was maybe a week.... haha DF wants to get married right now and is so anxious it's adorable!

He is taking my ering from me during my vacation at the end of this month because he is worried for my safety... but that's why it's insured!!!! lol jk... i'll listen... my hand will feel so naked though. :tdown:

Hmmm is he going with you on this vacation? If not, isn't he worried that you'll appear to be single while without him and near strange untrustable other guys...?? :devil:;)

Haha nope! I'm going for my end of semester vacation treat. Shopping and eating in NYC. Can't wait! I told him the same thing, that I'll be a single lady in new york! Then I ended it with "haven't you seen sex and the city? Gossip girl?" haha but he knows I'm just kidding... Damn!
