Hi ladies, I know we are all savvy shoppers and yesterday while on the bay I noted a bag I have been watching on ilovedooney (not the ebay store front) and noted a $70 priced difference. So I just now decided to try to compare some bags.
Look at the huge price difference. So, if you are looking for something be sure to check both sites. $174 and $279 for the same bag!

I have bought bags from the dooney site, ILD and ILD ebay and they all sell authentic bags. ILD and ILD ebay ( which are the same entity) just do not have the variety of handbags offered through dooney. Com
They mainly sell seasonal bags or ones being phased out. Sometimes the also have bags from the permanent line, but only in a couple colors or overstock

Thanks. We are aware that ILD is Dooney's storefront. KC's post was to let people know to check both ILD's internet site and ILD Ebay, because sometimes the pricing is different, even though they are the same retailer. Weird, but true. :D

Hey GF!
Wow, the fringe bag is getting a lot of fans!
I involves a lot of thinking for me to decide which purse. DH says I spent too much time thinking about purses...I think he's jealous
When I was going to the office I'd try to pick an outfit that would coordinate the bag I wanted to carry or the one I was already carrying if I didn't have time or was too lazy to change out of, but now that I'm working from home, my bag goes out with me only to do errands and shopping, so pretty much any will match my jeans and top. I just go by mood and weather. So since it's been rainy here, I might change into the saffiano tote. I know what you mean about mood, my mood lately wants to carry them all at once! So as you can see, I'm in a crazy mood

 Last year when my DH and I were in San Francisco I took my red Dillen pocket satchel. The second day there we walked to Fisherman's Wharf. Walking back to my sister's apartment we were going up a lot of hills. At one point I had to give my DH my bag to carry, because after a few hills it felt like I was carrying a ton of bricks. So he's walking with my red satchel, and a man walking pass us says to him "I think blue is more your color!" When I met Joy at the outlet I told her I needed a crossbody bag, and I bought one at the Dooney outlet. It was a lifesaver! I carried it the rest of the time in San Francisco and in Vegas. Now when we vacation or even go away for the weekend my DH warns me to take a bag I'm going to carry, not him!:lolots:

He was! He didn't want to carry it at first, but I kept stopping so much, moving the bag from one side to the other (even with the strap on my shoulder it felt like the bag was pulling me back down the hill! LOL!), he gave in an carried it. My bag was loaded with all my day to day junk. We weren't planning on walking or I would have emptied most of it out. But we were out with my sister and we were so happy to be enjoying warm weather in March, that we decided to walk. She took the bus home and we started walking.

This is such a funny story, GF!

It's easy to have this happen in San Francisco....and not that unusual to see a guy carrying some kind of handbag, either. ;)

Bless all the DHs or significant others that tolerate our handbag mania! Some of them even help us out with it! :D

That's a great story. My husband wouldn't carry my bag either.

I have a question regarding the Ivy florentine satchels on ILD. Does it look like the zipper fabric is brown in the picture? Has anyone ordered this color from ILD? I thought the zipper is always red but I'm wondering if they made some of these with a brown zipper. This bag is on my wish list and now that it is on sale I'm thinking of finally getting it, but I really love the red zipper against the green. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it's just something I noticed.

I purchased my Crimson Florentine satchel directly from Dooney.com, and it does not have a red zipper. If you watch the presentations on QVC you can see which ones have red zippers and which ones have colors that match their leather. I'm pretty sure all of them have the green inside their tassels, though.

That's what's throwing me. On Dooney's website and ILD it looks brown. On QVC it's red. I believe the one I saw at the outlet last month was red. I wonder if it just looks brown in the picture online. The Ivy looks really dark too so maybe the red looks brown. I'm taking a trip to the outlet (finally) today so I'll see what they have. I'm hoping they are still 50% off there. Thanks!

On the QVC site it looks like all the bags except the black and the Crimson have red zippers. But on ILD.com and their ebay storefront, it looks like the Ivy has a dark zipper. :confused1:

I think it just looks brown. I noticed this before I ordered mine. I have the ivy and it has the lovely red zipper. I remember it looked brown on Dooney.com which is where I ordered it from.

Thanks for confirming this for me. It is a bit confusing. I'm surprised Dooney doesn't pay more attention to this. However I notice on Qvc the Ivy green looks washed out so maybe Dooney thought it better to represent the deep green better.

 I'm sure he looked fabulous with that beautiful bag!!

I just got back from the outlet and I finally have my Ivy. At 50% off she was $199 total including tax! I'm very happy. Now I'm struggling with whether or not to condition the leather.
